(Los Angeles, CA) – Six (6) Bay Area based beauties are vying for the prestige and honor in history to be named as the First Ever BINIBINING PILIPINAS USA Winner in the ongoing pageant in Los Angeles, produced by INSIDER PRODUCTIONS. They are Stockton’s Kathleen Bautista (Candidate # 2) San Jose’s Rizza-Belen Diaz (Candidate # 9), South San Jose’s Alexandra Drechsler (Candidate # 10), Fremont’s Amyra Soriano (Candidate # 15), San Rafael’s Arienne Calingo (Candidate # 16) and Newark’s Melissa Jane Rodriguez (Candidate # 18). Patterned from its most prestigious national level pageant in the Philippines, BINIBINING PILIPINAS USA was created to showcase and highlight the beauty, elegance, intellect, and cultural pride of today's young Filipina-American. From its set of winners will come the Filipino Community’s representative to the 51st Binibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant (who in turn will select the country’s delegate to next year’s Miss Universe Pageant).

As part of its known high quality personality and self-improvement training (provided by Talent Manager/Certified Beauty Queen Maker Jonas Gaffud of Mercator Artist & Model Management, 2010 Miss Universe 4th Runner-Up Venus Raj and 2003 Miss World top 5 Mafae Yunon), this year’s batch were asked to be New York-based Jay Sario’s fashion models, as part of the launching of TFC’s new premium cable network – The Lifestyle Network held last June 21 at The Legendary Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.
This year’s Binibinis were officially presented to the media, in style, last Sunday, July 7 at Porsche Downtown LA. Last Sunday, July 21, they walked the runway of Apl.delAp Charity Foundation’s Charity Fashion Gala, wearing the Spring Collection of Alan Del Rosario, at The SupperClub in Hollywood, CA.

(LOS ANGELES, CA) – Twenty (20) beautiful Fil-American women are vying for the distinct honor of being named as the First Ever BINIBINING PILIPINAS USA Winner in a pageant scheduled to conclude in Los Angeles this Saturday, July 27. They are - Kristine Masajo, Kathleen Bautista, Jessica Marasigan, Jessica Joan, Jasmin Miko, Kayla Marie Nadres, Carlotta Pura, Melissa Gasia, Rizza-Belen Diaz, Alexandra Drechsler, Patricia Rodriguez, Hannah Marte, Kristina Cruz, Geramie Dizon, Amyra Soriano, Arienne Calingo, Hanadi Ahmad, Melissa Jane Rodriguez & Dystany Riley, in order of their candidate number.
Six (6) of the 20 are from the Bay Area, namely, Stockton’s Kathleen Bautista (Candidate # 2) San Jose’s Rizza-Belen Diaz (Candidate # 9), South San Jose’s Alexandra Drechsler (Candidate # 10), Fremont’s Amyra Soriano (Candidate # 15), San Rafael’s Arienne Calingo (Candidate # 16) and Newark’s Melissa Jane Rodriguez (Candidate # 18). The rest of the Binibini-USAs came from within the Greater Los Angeles cities (with the exception of Candidate # 20 Dystany Riley is from Indiana).
This year’s batch were asked to be New York-based Jay Sario’s fashion models, as part of the launching of TFC’s new premium cable network – The Lifestyle Network held last June 21 at The Legendary Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.
This year’s Binibinis were officially introduced to the media, in a one-of-a-kind program, with each candidate driven in the luxury branded car and dropped off a red carpet leading to a frenzy last Sunday, July 7 at Porsche Downtown LA.
The Binibinis also graced another high profile event last Sunday, July 21 - they walked the runway of Apl.delAp Charity Foundation’s Charity Fashion Gala, wearing the Spring Collection of Alan Del Rosario, at The SupperClub in Hollywood, CA.
Aside from the major titles, special awards are also to be handed to Most Photogenic, Miss Talent, Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimsuit, Miss Congeniality, Binibining Social Media, Fil-Am Insider Readers’ Choice, Binibining TFC, among others.
The group also met with Talent Manager/Certified Beauty Queen Maker Jonas Gaffud of Mercator Artist & Model Management, 2010 Miss Universe 4th Runner-Up Venus Raj and 2003 Miss World top 5 Mafae Yunon and got expert tips on hair and make up, catwalk and Q&A skills.
One of the confirmed judges in both Preliminary (set this Friday, July 26, 2013 6:00PM PST) and Finals, announced by Mildred Deang of Insider Productions is MERCATOR Talent and BENCH Endorser, Benjamin Alves who arrived from Manila to Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday morning, July 24. As a matter of fact, Alves watched the elimination round of Miss Talent competition and met the Binibini-USAs in the afternoon on the same day.
The Finals Event (scheduled on July 27, 2013 6:00PM PST), to be held at the Centinela Center for the Arts located 14901 South Inglewood Avenue, Lawndale, will be hosted by Venus Raj and Adobo Nation’s Lee Robin Salazar. Scheduled to perform are Mitch Franco and Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.de.Ap.
