Pacquio vs Margarito in November

(Vegas, Dallas & Mexico are possible venues)

TO-BE-SEEN IN THE CITY

After capturing his recent victory as Congressman of Sarangani, the Boxer of the Decade, Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao, will seek his next win on Saturday, November 13th – this time against Mexico’s Antonio Margarito, in a venue to be announced soon (it’s limited to 3 places - Vegas, Dallas or Mexico). This develops as Mayweather Jr. negotiations failed to materialize as the world is expecting, Bob Arum of Top Rank announced last Saturday, amidst a flurry of controversies.

Margarito is best remembered in boxing history as the one who got caught cheating with plaster-like substance in his wrappings during his Mosley fight last January 24, 2009. He is still in suspension from US boxing authorities and many are still questioning – did he also cheat before not just against Mosley (Margarito clobbered Cotto and won previously)?

A Pacquiao victory against Margarito will be his 8th in different weight divisions– an unprecedented record only him will hold in boxing history.

The Perkins meet The President

Welcome to the Perkins Twins (Christian and Jesse) who recently flew back in from a vacation in the Philippines with Filipina mom, Tess Perkins with a very interesting store on our newly-minted President Aquino.

Tess, the Twins and their cousins were at the Promenade Mall in Greenhills at Fully Booked, a local bookstore there when President Noynoy walked pass with all of his bodyguards. Tess called him, "NoyNoy." The President turned and looked right at her. She continued, "We're visiting from the States and my boys are tennis players who want to play for the Philippines . Can we get a picture?" Despite the objections from his bodyguards, he accommodated. It was quite a moment (captured in accompanying photo). He really is the People’s President!
