PACQUIAO VS MAYWEATHER IN 2013

(Top Rank’s Bob Arum is eyeing The Super Fight to happen in April of next year)

TO-BE SEEN IN THE CITY

Yes, the Pacquiao-Marquez IV fight is yet to happen this December, but already talks are getting louder everyday about Manny Pacquiao’s next fight in April, 2013– Floyd Mayweather, Jr.!

It is inevitable - even if Undefeated World Champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr doesn’t like it, he is bound to face his biggest fear – the first 8-Division World Champion Manny Pacquiao in the ring, sooner or later.

The writings are on the wall. Pacquiao recently acknowledged that he already agreed to a lower purse split – 45/55 (in favor of Mayweather) just to tip the scale for the fight to finally happen.

In addition, Pacquaio recently dropped his defamation lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather, Jr for insinuating he is using performance-enhancing drugs. The Los Angeles Times published on September 26 that “Mayweather Jr., his father and uncle/trainer Roger Mayweather, said the men wish to make it clear that they never intended to claim that Manny Pacquiao has used or is using any performance-enhancing drugs.

Nor are they aware of any evidence Manny Pacquiao has used performance-enhancing drugs. Manny Pacquiao is a great champion and no one should construe any of our prior remarks as claiming that Manny Pacquiao has used performance-enhancing drugs.”

As American Idol Top 9 Finalist Heejun Han says – there are only 2 things I don’t miss in life. They are - breakfast and a Manny Pacquiao fight!

Pacquiao versus Mayweather in April, 2013 – we will not miss it for the world!

More Foreign Performers in the Philippines; More Fun in the Philippines!

Miss Universe 2012 in Vegas

Donald Trump’s Miss Universe Organization has officially announced via a direct email to this Columnist that this year’s Miss Universe Beauty Pageant will be held at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on December 19th. It will be remembered that Miss Philippines Maria Venus Raj beautifully conquered Las Vegas, despite her major, major Q & A not-so-impressive performance, when the pageant was held there in 2010. The Philippine representative this year is Janine Tugonon. Good luck, Janine!

Marilou Diaz-Abaya, 57

After Milagros Mendez’s death just a week or 2 ago (she is a pillar of the Filipino-American Community in the East Coast that helped launch major TV networks and other business brands), now comes another unwanted parting news- multi-awarded Director of Brutal, Karnal and other notable movies, Marilou Diaz-Abaya succumbed to breast cancer at age 57. Our prayers and sincere condolences to her family.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"You make me feel so at home. I just want to move here." – gushed Hollywood Actor Zac Efron during the Penshoppe Fan Conference 2012 held in his honor, at the fully- packed Mall of Asia Arena (20,000 seat capacity) last Saturday, September 29, 2012. The actor arrived 3 days earlier and was immediately whisked via private helicopter to Albay upon the private invitation of friends and had subsequently posted tweets of himself enjoying the sights of Mayon Volcano and its surrounding areas before the concert. He enjoyed his stay so much he can’t stop telling Ellen DeGeneres & Jimmy Kimmel on their respective shows after he left the country.
