SEEN IN THE CITY

2009 Macy’s Passport Benefit Fashion Show, a Huge Success

We were fortunate to get invited (thanks to its 20-year director, Charleston Pierce) to two years in a row to the Macy’s Passport Benefit Fashion Show last week and again, we were able to find Filipino-blooded talents in the show, namely, bothers Andre and William Soriano of San Jose, CA, who both worked behind the scenes. Andre does the designs and style while William did the hair and make up of the models.

The show featured a huge Gondola (a la Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas !) with a replica of the Venetian-inspired bridge, ushered in one of the many impressive numbers on the show proper.

There was also a massive rain (almost-a-deluge) descending continuously in one of the must-see finale numbers of the show. Of course, all the featured models got wet onstage. People were imagining that night the endless possibilities.

We can’t wait until the next Macy’s Passport next year. Again, congratulationsCharleston and more power!
