TO HOLD HISTORICBIENNIAL CONVENTION INVEGAS

TO-BE SEEN IN THE CITY:

(LAS VEGAS, NV ) – The national professional accountancy body, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) California Chapter will hold its biennial milestone event, dubbed The 2016 PICPA International (US-RP) MRA Global Convention on September 5 to September 9, at The Orleans Casino Resort located at 4500 West Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

If you are a Filipino or Fil-Am CPA, an Accountant, a CPA Candidate, an accounting student, a finance or management professional, a tax practitioner or related in any way to a CPA and interested in learning what’s going in the accountancy field, you are all invited to join in the FORMAL PRESENTATION of their organization’s petition of the “US-RP” Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) also known as the “CPA Reciprocity for All Filipino CPAs.”

According to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy in the US, “(NASBA)/AICPA International Qualifications Appraisal Board (IQAB) is the link between the U.S. accounting profession and that of other General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) signatory countries. Through a mutual recognition agreement (MRA), qualified professional accountants from another country can practice in the United States without having to completely re-credential. Similar recognition is given to U.S. CPAs who wish to practice in that same country.

IQAB has currently established MRAs with the following countries: Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

Any professional accountancy body wishing to enter a reciprocal agreement with U.S.-IQAB must submit a letter of intent to NASBA. The letter should contain a brief, written description of the nature and objections of the organization, the size of its membership and its interest in applying for an MRA. If the organization does not have the authority to grant practice privileges including audit rights, it must provide evidence it can facilitate obtaining these privileges for U.S. CPAs from the licensing authority.”

This is a historic event for all Filipino CPAs longing for reciprocity, with their counterparts in the USA.

Expected to attend are visiting CPAs from the Philippines, US and around the world!

This particular event is hosted by PICPA - Las Vegas, Nevada Chapter.
