Abstract- E-waste and its proper disposal/ implications has today become a major issue around the Globe. It is observed in both developed and developing countries like India are facing the problem of proper E-waste management. E-waste has been rapidly growing with the improving technologies and up gradation in technology and high rate of change in electronic industry has led E-waste as one of the fastest growing waste streams around the globe. Electronic Waste or E-waste involves a wide range of electrical and electronic waste; containing numerous toxic and hazardous materials which can irreversible impact to living beings and environment as well if these materials are not properly and timely disposed off. In this paper we discuss the scenario of E-waste in India, advancement in technology for recycling of e-waste and proper management of E-waste, thus discarding in environment has minimal or no effect. This paper also focuses on health hazards and various methods for dealing with this hazardous waste. Hence an attempt is made to find a sustainable solution for handling the mass volume of e-waste generated without disturbing the environment and public is needed.
