Lecturer Ghassan A. Qasmarrogy at the Department of Communication Engineering gave a seminar entitled “Improving VoIP Transmission for IEEE 802.11n 5GHz MANET” on 16th March 2021 at 12:00 PM. The seminar focused on a catastrophic scenarios, rescue teams need to communicate with each other without any fixed infrastructure while moving, such as search and rescue, firefighter, police, and tactical networks i.e. MANET. This paper will calculate and improve VoIP service in MANET that operates under IEEE 802.11n 5GHz frequency, with comparing two main routing protocols AODV and OLSR, and analyzing some QoS requirement such as end-to-end delay, throughput, and retransmission attempts using Network Simulator (NS2).
