Dr. Ako Abdollah Daraei at the department of Civil Engineering gave a seminar entitled "Modifying Tunnel's Hazard Warning (Sakurai Criterion) Levels based on the Laboratory Studies on Different Rock Types" on 20-April-2020 at 12:00 PM in online (Hangouts Meet).

Sakurai proposed hazard warning levels (HWLs) onthe basis of the critical strain concept to evaluate the stability of tunnels.When the measured strain values remain smaller than HWL III, the stability of the tunnels is confirmed.
