COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak

Lecturer Areej Muthana Noaman at the department of Community Health gave a seminar entitled COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak on 26-February-2020 at 12:30 PM in VIP Hall: Coronaviruses (CoV) were first identified in the mid-1960s. It is a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). (COVID-19)is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. There are currently 80,997 confirmed cases and 2,764 deaths, recovered 30,058 cases from the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak as of February 26, 2020.The transmission of disease occur mainly person to person contact ,till now there is no vaccine can prevent the infection the main preventive measure is avoid close contact with infected person and personal hygiene.
