Assistant prof. Dr. Abdul Rashid at the department of Public Administration gave a seminar entitled “Green Marketing” on 16 April at 11 AM.The seminar focuses on the concept of Green Marketing. Green marketing is an emerging marketing strategy that incorporates a broad range of activities like product modification, fair-trade practices, adopting eco-friendly production process, modified advertising and packaging. It ensures sustained and long term growth along with profitability. It is the marketing of products that are presumed to be environmentally safe. It saves money in the long run, though initially, the cost is more. The growing awareness all over the world regarding protection of the environment is crucial to green marketing. Consumers are becoming more concerned about environmental friendly products.
