Cracks in Buildings- Causes and Preventions

Assistant Professor Noor Sadeq Ali at the Department of Civil Engineering gave a seminar entitled “Cracks in Buildings- Causes and Preventions” on 15th Feb 2021 at 12:00 PM. The seminar focused on building cracks which are the most common problem found in any type of building. We all love to have a house which structurally safe and beautiful but it is not so easy, not all the cracks developed are harmful but there are some types of cracks which can be severely structurally hazardous. Though the cracks in concrete cannot be prevented entirely but they can be controlled by using adequate material and technique of construction and specific design criteria.
