With your rear foot on the rubber, start with your right hip seated on a bucket or similar. Using your rear leg, lift yourself slightly off the bucket while maintaining the load in your rear hip and slowly stride down the mound. Perform a “chop” with a PVC pipe to simulate your pitching motion.
IF USING A MED BALL:
Bear hug a medicine ball rather than use a PVC pipe. The additional weight of the med ball will force a stronger lead side block, and with continued repetitions, build a greater capacity for acceleration through a stronger lead leg block.
