The 5-10-5 drill is a speed and agility drill that involves rapid changes in direction. Start by standing in an athletic position with your knees slightly bent and your feet shoulder-width apart, facing forward at the starting line. When ready, sprint 5 yards to one side, then quickly change direction and sprint 10 yards in the opposite direction. After reaching the 10-yard mark, change direction again and sprint 5 yards back to the starting line. Throughout the drill, focus on staying low, using quick, controlled steps, and maintaining a stable center of gravity to maximize speed and agility. Perform the drill for the desired number of repetitions, concentrating on smooth transitions and proper footwork.
