Start by stepping back with one foot while rotating your torso toward the opposite side, mimicking the rotational motion used in a shot put throw. As you step back, load your hips and engage your core, preparing for the throw. Rotate your hips through, followed by your chest and then arms. As you execute the movement, develop a stiff and purposeful lead leg block that remains stable and effectively decelerates the rotation of your pelvis.
