This center opened in 2008 and is anchored by the first Cabela's in Maine. It has nearly 200,000 SF of retail space including office space, restaurants and a plan for a future 200-room hotel & conference center. They are joined together in a harmonious style, integrated with a network of roads, walkways and landscape features including ponds and fountains.

Cabela's planned to hire as much as 250 employees for it's new 125,000 sq.ft. store located at Exit 42 of the Maine Turnpike. Article Cabela's opened its doors in May 2008. When a large retail development was proposed in nearby Westbrook, plans initially showed a building that could have been a Costco. In the end Costco did not open there but it was revealed that Costco had looked at the Cabela's site about a decade before the Westbrook project was presented but had decided not to build a store there.

Famous Faves eventually closed its doors and was later replaced by Sea Dog Brewery. Maine's first Costco Wholesale location will open near the Cabela's shopping center in November 2023.
