Originally the region’s primary retail hub between Tilton and Plymouth, this shopping center has seen decades of turnover. The department store anchor shifted from Giant in the early '70s to Ames in 1973, while the supermarket evolved from Food Town into a 50,776-square-foot Hannaford (formerly Shop 'n Save) following a major early-'90s renovation. Other historical tenants included Brooks Pharmacy and various dollar stores.

The early 2000s marked a major transition: Ames shuttered in 2002 just as a nearby Walmart Supercenter opened. This vacancy was eventually filled in 2005 when Marshalls occupied 28,000 square feet of the former Ames footprint. While the plaza later added tenants like Olympia Sports and Family Dollar, the latter eventually closed its doors.
