This plaza opened in 1987 with Zayre, Service Merchandise and Purity Supreme as anchors. Zayre closed its doors in 1990 because Ames was already down the road. Wal-Mart opened in the expanded former Zayre in 1993.    Purity Supreme closed in 1996.  Staples subleased Purity Supreme in 1997 and Big Lots opened in the other half in July 2000.  Service Merchandise closed in 2002.  The center was 284,000 sq.-ft.

A 123,000 sq.ft Home Depot opened at the plaza.  They demolished the existing structures formerly occupied by Partyrama, Zoo Creatures, Service Merchandise and PriceLess for Kids.  Plaistow is a perfect location for retail as it's near the Mass. border and offers tax-free shopping. Big Lots eventually closed and was replaced by Bed, bath & Beyond.
