FORT EDDY PLAZA

Fort Eddy Plaza is located close to the former Bradlees Plaza on Fort Eddy Drive. It opened in 1979 with Rich’s and Shaw’s as anchor stores. Shaw’s expanded its store in 1991. Rich’s lasted 17 years until the company filed for bankruptcy in 1996 and closed the store. Not long after. Staples opened in the right section of the former Rich’s seven months after its closure. Borders Books opened in the other sub-part of Rich’s in March 1999. Osco Drug became Brooks Pharmacy in 2002. Rite Aid has now replaced Brooks. In 2011 Borders closed after the company's bankruptcy. The store was replaced by Books-A-Million.
