This plaza was anchored by Mammoth Mart when it opened. The store closed and was renamed Marts. King's eventually opened a store at the location. It later closed and Globe Department stores opened a new store at the Plaza. Globe closed the early 1990's. NH liquor store opened in 2000. Family Dollar opened at the Airport Plaza in 2003. By 2006, the Globe logo was gone from the plaza’s pylon sign. Today, part of the store is now used by a Flea Market and the rest by a movie theater.
In 2015 a group purchased the plaza and wanted to renovate it in 2016. The plaza's new name would be Airport Commons More details here. The plan is to redo the facade of the entire building and add pad sites and bring new stores and restaurants. As of 2018, the shopping center's facade has been entirely renovated and the parking lot has been repaved.
