MALL OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

This mall is located in New Hampshire's largest city yet it is smaller than the Maine Mall in Portland ME and the Pheasant Lane Mall of Nashua NH. Mall of NH opened in September 1977 and initially was a three-wing mall. Sears and Lechmere were for sure the two anchors, with Filene's probably the third.

During 1996-97, the mall underwent a huge renovation. Filene's moved to a larger store in a new wing of the mall. The old Filene's was demolished and transformed into the rest of another new wing with a two-level JCPenney which opened in April 1998. Lechmere closed in November 1997. Best Buy and Kitchen Etc. opened in that former store in 1998.

Kitchen Etc. went out of business in 2004. A.C.Moore opened a new store in that space. Musicland announced in 2006 that it would close 341 Suncoast and Sam Goody. Macy's opened a store to replace Filene's after the acquisition of May Company (owner of Filene's). The mall has over 100 stores. A.C.Moore closed in 2015. In August 2018, it was announced that Sears would close 33 stores including the Manchester and Salem locations.

In 2019, it was announced that Dick's Sporting Goods and Dave & Buster's would open in the former Sears.
