I've always enjoyed making things and modeling. Using a kit makes construction easy and a good learning experience. I have built many electronic Heathkits, sewn crewel and other needlecraft kits.
Most of the paper kits I try to give away - making room for more. I have given away a carousel, a working paper clock, a Mercedes race car with working steering and wire wheels, Eiffel Tower, and others. These happen to be a few that are still around the house. The Osprey has about a five foot wingspan and originally held a salmon it its talons.

Now that I am retired I have started making models again. The Osprey (above) hangs in the Taos garage.
The wooden models below are from laser-cut plywood kits.
Some paper model designs are available (free) on the Internet. I just print them on card stock. However, not all are adequate. The Haunted house below has no way to secure the tabs, and gluing the closed boxes together is hard. The ideas are nice but some of the execution is difficult or impossible.
The music box is from a laser-cut plywood kit with 220 pieces. The center rotates and is lighted.
