Today I tried to fix some recalcitrant door locks but they were not greased at the factory, have rusted, and now cannot be opened so the doorknobs don't turn. Sigh.
Did get a couple of doors in the dorm working better.
Switched apps that I used to track my tasks to one with priorities and folders - they were getting out of control and I have some from Seattle that I didn't want to forget or mix with new tasks.
The JHC folks explained their community and life to the Bucknell delegation after lunch. I think there was still some confusion between community as extended family and the work that they do. Work is easier for most Americans to understand than intentional community. Becca and Paul explained how they volunteered here for years before they joined the initial community.
Tomorrow I work with Rogelio (the engineer) and Sarah to figure out what to buy and how to install it to make the electrical wiring more acceptable to the copy machine vendor, who has lost two wireless routers so far. The wiring is not bad, but it is not exactly to US electrical code, either. Biggest problem is that there is no main shutoff to this building - have to shut down the entire campus, as far as I can tell. Hopefully Rogelio will shed some light!
