I was lazy Saturday evening. I spent a couple of hours preparing Moussaka for a Sunday dinner with friends. It took nearly every pot in the kitchen, but the dishwasher worked miracles after I finished.I went to Annie’s to feed her cats (I have only seen one) about supper time. I need to take my weeding tool the next time I go, because the thistles are blooming and will soon spread their seed if I don’t amputate them.
That evening — rather than going out to the Taos Pueblo for the PowWow I sat looking out over the meadow towards Wheeler Peak and Taos Mountain. We had an especially large gathering of ravens. I assume they were eating grasshoppers, which are abundant at the moment.
After listening to Swing Years and Beyond and a good night’s sleep, I awoke at sunrise. This photo is taken towards the west of Wheeler Peak. And, no, I don't know the names of the mountains around here.
