After being away for two full days I returned to the house construction site. I saw some progress while I was gone. The kitchen tile detail got its top rail, as shown in the photo at left. The job is still only partly finished because we failed to order enough tile the first time.
The mud room closets (shown at right) saw no apparent progress, but the doors are built and waiting for hinges. The mud room is to the right of the front entry and appears in the photo at right. The doors will all open with hinges on the right. The compartments hold (left to right) coats on hangers, jackets on pegs with a bench to remove boots, shelves, broom closet. The far end of the mud room opens into the garage.
The linen closet is in place in the bathroom, and will get painted doors. It is finished enough to load. The dark square in the upper right compartment is the power supply for the LED lighting over the shower niche.
When I left on Wednesday you can see that I was partly moved in (corner of the living room, shown bottom right) and partly still packed (study piled with boxes, shown bottom left). To some extent I was waiting for the linen closet to unpack linens and bathroom stuff. The Dutch oven is on a living room shelf (third shelf up) because I need to re-arrange the kitchen shelves, which is hard to do with the stove still in the middle of the kitchen floor — waiting on a part that will be fastened from behind.
