Got to work early today, but the temperatures are dropping. It was 44 when I started shoveling sand into the wheelbarrow. I moved three or four loads from the roadside to the pile behind my new house. This sand will help the soil structure when we start landscaping in a month or two. I wore a long-sleeved shirt all day, even though it was fairly warm inside the house by late afternoon. The garage has its final coat of paint. I bought the vinyl base cove today. The plumber is supposed to come tomorrow to see what is to be installed in the garage. The kitchen and living room are ready for their paint primer tomorrow. I sanded drywall most of today, some in the kitchen, living room, and study. The shower floor is tiled mostly (above left, color not right), but all the edge tiles have to be cut on the diagonal, and that is still a big project. Another day, I would guess. Everyone who looks at the tile has liked it so far (sample on right), including the architect, who made his biweekly site visit today.
