Ugh. I’ve been struggling with web sites all evening, so I’m a bit late and tired. When it comes to computers, I’m more the requirements and design person, rather than the build-it person. I've written a lot of code, but I'm not really a programmer. Here is a belated picture of the steel shelving. It is getting populated as I move supplies into the garage from other parts of the house. The red color was not my first choice, but the price difference justifies several cans of spray paint if I really don’t like it.
The walls are getting tiled - almost to the ceiling now. The color still doesn’t come through the photos well. This one was taken with natural light through the window. I’m painting the bathroom, too. However, I can’t paint when the tilers are working. I don’t want to drip paint on them and there is no room for three of us anyway. I painted over lunch today and will try again before they arrive tomorrow morning.Having the garage door closed makes the house much more comfortable in the morning — even with no front door installed. The front door is still in the barn across the street waiting to be stained.
I’ve started a list of things that need to be done. For example, I had to remove a light fixture in the garage, and now I need to re-install it. I also need to install the screens over the roof vents before the insects or birds make a home inside my parapets. I chipped out the excess plaster a few days ago, and Eli bought silicone caulking for the purpose. I just need to go up on the roof and do it!
