Double wall construction means double the wood and double the work. This time lapse video starts with laying pressure-treated wood sill over the bolts that were cast into the concrete. Then the crew starts in the far corner, which is the study, and works toward the bedroom on the left.
The headers (beams over doors and windows) are installed only on the inner wall. The outer wall receives 4x10" lintels, which we have not yet found. (I don't really want green beams because they often twist as they dry.)
Around each window and door is a box made of OSB (strandboard). The top plates will have OSB strips that connect the inner wall to the outer wall and support the roof trusses, but these have not yet been installed.
