The bath and shower floor got grout today. It turned out a bit on the light side, so the tiles are in a grout grid, but the color of the grout matches the glass tile.We also tried to grout the slate tile on the porch floor. We bought “Charcoal” color grout, but it seemed to be too dark. So I got “Pewter Grey” (same as the wood stain outdoors), but it seemed too light. We even mixed the two, but as soon as it was between the tiles the color did not seem right. So Eli made several mixtures of these two colors and made samples of each mixture. After they set and dry we will pick one — or start over.
Then I noticed that the narrow wall between the sets of bifold doors on the closet was not vertical. Since I felt that would mean some ugly adjustments, I helped cut the wall from the floor and move it into vertical. Eli packed out the laundry bifold door opening. Tomorrow the crew should be able to install the bifold doors, though they have to be painted still.
None of us felt as though we accomplished much today.
