I'm fixing to throw a little party for the folks who designed and built the house. It won't include all the workers, but the following will be here:
While getting ready (or not, such as it is) I unpacked the last two boxes of pictures. One of them is not mine! It has two pictures and the most interesting looking wooden box. The photo shows just the end (about 3 1/2" square). I sent the info and called the mover so they can locate the owner. At least I don't have to find a place to put these things!
I also hung a few more pictures -- mostly in the garage, as I am out of wall space in the house. Unpacked the large Mexican ceramic church that stood at the end of our market scene in Seattle. Sadly no room here near the market scene. But I did manage to find a place to put it, other than the floor in the study.
Rearranged the furniture a bit, too. Moved the black leather chair back into the study, where there had been a large stack of un-hung pictures. (I still have pictures not hung, but fewer.) The living room looks a bit more hospitable. I have two comfortable chairs and the glass coffee table in some semblance of a conversational group.
I still need to get to the store to buy supplies for the party tomorrow. I have invited almost one hundred people, but don't expect anywhere near that number. I have little experience in throwing parties, so the outcome will be a surprise to me.
