The Traditions of Man

The Traditions of Man

Mark 7:6 - He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

7 - They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’

8 - You have let go of the commands of Elohim and are holding on to human traditions.”

9 - And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of Elohim in order to observe your own traditions!

Yahushua really nailed this issue. Of course, we all know all about laying aside one’s traditions to follow Yahuwah. It is like moving to another planet. Emperor Constantine knew all about this strange human compulsion when he created his Christian counterfeit. He cleverly allowed everyone buying into his counterfeit to keep all of their traditions. This, combined with the convert or die directive, was all it took to complete his masterpiece.

So, where did all the traditions of man originate? Why, in ancient Babylon, where else. Yahuwah may have confused the language and scattered the people, but they held on to their treasured traditions wherever they went.

At this time of year, the world celebrates the tradition of Christmas an as the birthdate of the Messiah. The origin of this festival began with Tammuz, the very first pagan messiah. Tammuz was the first of sixteen crucified pagan “saviors”. Their Iesous or Jesus was/is number 16. What are the two things they all have in common? They all were born around December 25th. All died at Easter. This is true of all except the true Messiah. He was born in September (around the Rosh Hashana/Trumpets) and died on Passover.

However, no fuss was ever made about Yahushua’s birth, but more so, his death. Of course, Rosh Hashana has been celebrated for centuries before the birth of Yahushua, but the focus was more on His 2nd coming than His first. His bringing the Father’s kingdom to earth will be the second greatest event in all human history. The first will be the Father’s coming.

Of course, new traditions were coming to life all throughout history, also. Every nation seems to have their very own traditions which they brought into the Christian faith with them. These traditions were eventually adopted by others in the Christian realm as well, making Christianity a true melting pot of all the world’s traditions and religions. This really was a brilliant maneuver by Constantine. But what else could one expect from the prophesied Antichrist?

There are numerous traditions involved in Christianity. I had a difficult time finding all on one website so I listed a couple that seem to cover most of them (below).

One common trend amongst conquerors of old is that they would adopt the gods and traditions of whichever land they conquered. This trend was based on the superstition that each land had a different god watching over it. This superstition began with the teaching that there were 72 angels or Watchmen watching over all of mankind. Like all the other things of Yahuwah, man twisted them to suit their own primitive ideas.

Various religions have come and gone but the traditions never die. As with Constantine, new converts were permitted to retain their traditions. As far as the world is concerned, their traditions are far more important than holding the true keeping of Yahuwah’s word. Meanwhile, traditions have nothing to do with the promises of Yahuwah. They have nothing to do with salvation or becoming incorruptible. They remain silly, man-made traditions of no spiritual value whatsoever. But as long as they faithfully keep all their traditions, they feel secure in their faith. They are in for a huge surprise.

December seems to be a busy month for nearly all the world’s religions. The following site shows how different religions have different holy days occurring this month.

Originally the December celebrations were all about the winter solstice and celebrating the return of the sun to full strength. It was a celebration of nature, the true source of human worship. They all worship the creation over the Creator. Of course, the natural conclusion of nature is that we all die. So, if the world worships death, death is all they will receive.

If only the world would believe in Yahuwah and His purpose for creating man. Our purpose is to become elohim and to rule over and create life throughout the universe. Who, in their right mind, would not want such a future? Obviously, the world is not in its right mind. They continue to believe HaSatan and he has become the god that they worship. It matters not that he is responsible for all the misery we suffer in this life; he is the god of their own choosing and they will go to their graves in their devotion to him. What a sad state of affairs!

Of course, not all traditions are bad. Yahushua introduced several new traditions for all His followers to adhere to. And, it seems He was always in conflict with the religious leadership over violating one or more of their acquired customs or traditions.

1 Corinthians 11:2 - I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you.

Of course, one of the most popular of those traditions was the wine and foot washing ceremony on Passover. Yet almost no Christian observes this tradition. They were more interested in holding onto their former traditions.

Yahushua was often accused of breaking Jewish law; however, he did not break any laws but rather clarified as to how the law was to be kept. And, since it was He who originally gave the law to Israel, who would know better.

Of course, the Christian leaders today are no better than the Jewish leaders of Yahushua’s day. Who needs the word of Elohim when they have their traditions.

Of course, one of the biggest lies invented by Christians is that Yahushua did away with the law. One fact common to all Emperors is that once they make a decree, they cannot take it back. Such an act would be a sign of weakness and the inability to make up one’s mind (not fitting for any world-ruling Emperor). To think that Yahushua would create laws for the OT and simply do away with them for the NT is remarkably ridiculous. Yahushua is not weak. He does not flip-flop concerning any word that comes out of His mouth. His word is always true and sure.

If one does not believe the words that Yahushua spoke, why follow Him at all? There is one passage in the NT that leaves no doubt of Yahushua’s intentions concerning the law, but the Christians carefully avoid this passage.

Matt. 5:17 - “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

18 - For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19 - Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

However, it has become Christian tradition that the laws of Elohim have been done away with. What does that mean? Do we no longer have to put Yahuwah first in our lives? Are we not to keep the weekly Sabbath or yearly sabbaths? Are we free to murder, steal, commit adultery or dishonor one’s parents? From the behavior witnessed of a great many Christians one might conclude that they have indeed done away with all of the law. And, since it is Constantine who made the decree and the whole Christian world follows his commands, he is elevated to the “god” that they worship.

Conclusion

Yes, we all love our traditions. However, if by keeping these traditions instead of the word of Yahuwah we are destroying any chance we have to make it into the Kingdom, we might want to give those traditions some serious investigation.

I have often had some Christians preach to me about the law being done away. When I ask about the 10 commandments, they say, “Oh, no. They are not done away”. And, of course, I always answer them, “Then why don’t you keep them?”

The one law of the 10 most commonly not kept is the Sabbath. That is why the Sabbath command is known as the test command. It was the very first law ever commanded. It is assumed that began this trend of disobedience toward Yahuwah, so it may also be assumed that until Israel, no one kept the Sabbath. And, following Israel, no one has kept the Sabbath either. The northern nation of Israel moved their sabbath to the eighth or first day of the week (Sunday). Christians followed suite and moved their sabbath to Sunday, also. No one wants to keep it as it identifies them as one of Yahuwah’s children. They prefer to be a child of HaSatan.

I have tried my best to set a good example for my family but to no avail. I am the nut. I am the one swimming upstream against the tide of human tradition. I am the odd ball. And, of course, I delight in being the odd ball, if that means I am pleasing to Yahuwah.

The Christmas tradition is one of the most difficult to deal with. It is a time celebrated by almost the entire world. The central theme is not on Yahuwah but on the giving of gifts. And who does not like receiving gifts. However, in celebrating this tradition, we alienate ourselves from Elohim and ensure we will never make it into the Kingdom.

So, let us not be swept up with all the hype and enthusiasm for this yearly tradition and remain true to Yahuwah. We may not see the benefit at the moment, but we will when standing in the Kingdom with our Elohim for all of eternity. Let us move forward to the finish line.

Yahuwah Bless
