The war drums are now beating almost everywhere in the world. The situation in the Middle East is about to explode, as is the situation in the Ukraine. Either scenario could set the stage for WW3. The possibility of a 3^rd world war turning nuclear is quite real. Meanwhile the possibility of a peaceful solution to the problem is seemingly very remote. In the end, mankind has not really advanced that much. They still see war as the end means of getting what they want.

The following are Yahushua’s words concerning the signs of His coming and the end of the age.

Matt 24:3 - And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 - And Yahushua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 - For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Messiah; and shall deceive many.

6 - And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 - All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 - Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 - And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 - And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 - And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 - But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 - When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:)

16 - Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 - Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:

18 - Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 - And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 - But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The first thing that Yahushua warns us about is the coming of many deceivers. Some are actually going to claim to be the Messiah. Others are going to be claiming to represent the Messiah. There is one that actually claims to be “God on Earth”. (Need any guesses?) All are false. And we have certainly been flooded with false prophets lately.

Some of these false prophets are knowingly deceptive. Others have unwittingly turned down a false path and actually believe what they are preaching. In these times we need the power of discernment more than ever, and I urge everyone to pray for that gift.

I would also like to include politicians as false messiah’s as well. A false prophet is anyone who knowingly sells the people a false bill of goods to achieve a secret agenda. Does anyone know of a global leader today that DOES NOT fulfill this role?

The truth is that we live in a world of deception. White is black and black is white. Good is evil and evil is good. Following occultish practices has become fashionable and everyone is seeking an alternative reality.

The second warning was of wars and rumours of war. That is the stage we are at right now. Many feel we are on the verge of WW3, and others feel it has already started.

But the end is not yet.

The third warning is of global war. Nation against nation! Kingdom against Kingdom! There shall be a great famine, pestilence and earthquakes in diversified places.

But these are only the beginning of sorrows.

The fourth warning is specific to Believers. We will be hated and persecuted for our beliefs and teachings. Even our loved ones may turn against us and turn us in to authorities.

Once again Yahushua warns of false prophets. Such are indeed going to be a major problem in the end times. Many will seek an easy road to salvation. Their disappointment will cause them to fall away altogether.

Iniquity (lawlessness) is definitely abounding on this planet today. Our political false prophets have succeeded in turning their nations against Elohim and persecuting Believers.

In ancient Israel, the final straw was the sacrificing of children to the pagan god, Molech. Their destruction came swiftly following the adoption of such a perverse pagan custom. Today the nations have adopted the same custom via abortions. At Bohemian Grove, in California, world leaders gather once a year to perform mock child sacrifices using dolls in place of live children. They worship before a giant statue of an owl, the symbol of the “all knowing, all wise” god, Molech.

Homosexuality has also gained popular momentum and firm footage in our societies. Almost every nation on Earth has embraced these atrocities. Therefore, we can expect almost every nation on earth to suffer the consequences of their sins.

The love of many has indeed waxed cold. The sexual revolution has produced failed marriages and broken families. Children are being taught sex in school at younger and younger ages. They are so confused, they don’t know what gender preference is right or wrong. They are experimenting in sex acts they know nothing about and abhor any boundaries. They are totally oblivious to the consequences – both physical and spiritual. The whole world has followed the course of Sodom and Gomorrah. The whole world will suffer much the same punishment.

Yahushua then gives us the clue to surviving what is coming and guaranteeing our salvation. We must endure until the end! That task is not going to be easy. To survive we will need all of our spiritual armour firmly in place. Many are going to face pretty much the same trail as Yahushua. Many are going to be martyred (beheaded) for our beliefs. And, unfortunately, the hearts of many are going to fail them because of fear and they will turn away from Yahuwah.

None of us know if we will trust in our spiritual armour enough in the face of such persecution. It is a situation we should not take likely. When standing in front of the grand inquisitor, we will be scared – likely more scared than we have ever been in our lives. Only someone who has endured a police interrogation has a clue as to how extreme that fear is. Many tell the police anything they want to hear, just to get out of there. We cannot do that if we end up in that position because of our beliefs. We must stand strong and suffer through the trial to achieve salvation.

Yahushua then gives a sign by which we know it is time to flee into the wilderness - the same abomination of desolation that the Daniel prophesied about. This is some form of idol that will be erected in Jerusalem which the entire world will be forced to worship. Believers who do not submit, will be hunted down and killed.

It will be following this event that the latter half of the Great Tribulation begins. It will be an especially horrific time for Believers. We will not be able to buy sell or trade without the mark of the beast. We will be continuously hunted down and forced to live in the wilderness like animals. Our fear will be like nothing we have ever experienced.

I previously mentioned the armour of Elohim. The following is what constitutes such armour.

Eph. 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahuwah, and in the power of his might.

11 - Put on the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 - Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 - And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 - Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Elohim:

18 - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

If we are strong in Yahuwah, his power will always be with us. It will be the same power that parted the Red Sea and chased the inhabitants out of the Promised Land ahead of the Hebrew invasion and was responsible for all her victories. Yet, it was the same power that brought swift destruction when Israel became weak in Yahuwah and discarded their spiritual armour. This armour is our only hope of spiritually surviving what is coming. We know that our physical bodies are only temporary. Therefore, our total focus must be on the spiritual, not the physical. Those who seek to kill us physically, can only kill us spiritually if we allow them to.

The first piece of armour mentioned is “truth”. We are to earnestly be seeking truth at all times. Of course, that is exactly what caused us to break out of Babylon in the first place. Not only are we to learn all truth, but proclaim it openly before the world.

The next piece of armour is the breastplate of righteousness. Righteousness is more than the simply keeping of the Laws of Yahuwah physically. All who trusted in the physical keeping of the law only, ended up becoming self-righteous, because they trusted in the physical act more that the spiritual intent. We have to write the law on our hearts and minds until they become an integral part of our nature. So our nature is the same as Yahuwah’s! So that even the thought of committing an unrighteous act is so totally foreign to us that it is impossible! The love of Yahuwah will permeate every cell of our body; and every thought, word and action will reflect that love.

Next is having our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Before we can bring this gospel to the world, we need to be living examples of the same gospel. That is what made the preaching of the apostles so successful. There was no hypocrisy in them. The power of Yahuwah was always with them. They had faith and confidence. They converted thousands in a single day. Where is the power of such preaching today?

While I was in the Worldwide Church of God, we were taught the pray and pay method of doing the Creator’s work. That is, we were to pray for the ministry and pay our tithes to headquarters. For those of us who have left the religions and churches of men to independently stand before Yahuwah, this is a cop-out we cannot afford. I know this is not everyone’s forte, but sometimes we have to dig deep inside ourselves to do Yahuwah’s will.

Next is perhaps the most important – the shied of faith. Why the shield? Because when we have faith, that faith protects us from the fiery darts of the devil. Sometimes in battle soldiers get so frightened they drop their swords and shields and run. If we do that we will not be worthy of the Kingdom. Yahuwah’s spirit will be with us throughout all trials, and we must trust in His spirit to see us through the trial. That will be the time when we need our spiritual armour more firmly in place than ever.

Next is the helmet of salvation. Why a helmet? Perhaps because we are to be mindful of the hope of salvation at all times. Perhaps because though precedes action and we are to be mindful of our actions, that we do not cause offense or misrepresent our words. Salvation is our ultimate goal. We must keep that goal foremost in our minds.

Next is the sword of the spirit, which is the word of Yahuwah. This is talking primarily of the gospel. This too is a vital piece of our armour. The word of Yahuwah is truth, and truth shall set us free of our physical bondage and prepare us for the Kingdom.

This sword could also represent Yahushua. He is known as the spiritual representation of the word of Yahuwah. He brought the gospel to mankind. He is responsible for the salvation of man. He is; therefore, an integral part of our armour. He is only available if we allow him to fully indwell us and lead in everything we think, say and do.

Last, but not least, is prayer. We are not only to pray for ourselves and our families, but all saints. We can easily pray for the saints we do know, but there are many more scattered throughout the earth and suffering grave tribulation such as we in the Western nations have never witnessed. These need our prayers more than anyone right now.

Conclusion

We fight for Yahuwah on two fronts – the physical and the spiritual. Physically we can only fight for physical preservation. However, it is our spiritual preservation we need to be focused on. Our physical bodies are going to fade and die anyway. There is nothing we can do to save it. Why would we even bother?

We need to be focused on the spiritual – who we are going to be in the Kingdom, as if we were already there. How does an athlete win a race? By envisioning the victory beforehand! This is what we must do also – picture ourselves already living in the Kingdom. We already know that we are going to be kings and priests in that Kingdom. We must be acting like kings and priests now, in this life, before we can achieve the future goal. We must envision our successful conclusion if we are ever to see it.

Yes we are going to hear of wars and rumours of war. Yes, we are likely going to find ourselves in the middle of WW3 very shortly. Yes, that war is likely to turn nuclear; in which case the whole world is going to lose. But that is all physical! If we are really living in the spirit with a full degree of faith, we are not to be afraid. The only thing we should fear is failure to qualify for salvation. The formula for salvation is; belief, repentance and baptism. Baptism is easy. Belief and repentance have a number of sub-titles to consider.

Belief means that you believe every word of Yahuwah. It is undeniable belief in the Messiah. It is taking on the nature of Yahuwah and proclaiming Yahuwah through our every thought, word and action.

Repentance means truly reviling everything that Yahuwah hates and doing our best to live every day hereafter in a manner pleasing to Yahuwah. It means driving even the thought of sin from our conscience and developing the nature of Yahuwah (the nature of love) in us. There is no law against love. If every though, word and action we manifest demonstrates the love of Yahuwah, we will be very close to victory.

Of course, talk is cheap. Anyone can talk a good talk. What we must remember is that our speech reveals our thoughts and our actions either support or contradict our speech. All three must harmonize and match; otherwise no one will believe our report.

If we are focused on the physical, the coming global events will scare the livers out of us. If we are focused on the spiritual, and fear only the One that can take eternal life away from us, the physical threat will fade in comparison.

So, when we hear of wars and rumours of war, they are only smoke and mirrors. Our real war is “not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

If we have all our spiritual armour in place and are truly filled with faith we will achieve the victory and true salvation will be ours.
