The Last Great Day

The Last Great Day

Traditionally the following passage from the Book of Psalms is sang/recited every year on the Last Great Day. The Last Great Day ends the Feast of Tabernacles and represents the ushering in of Yahuwah’s Kingdom on Earth. Let us examine this passage thoroughly and evaluate its importance.

Now, I am sure you are going to notice that I substituted the proper name of Yahuwah in all the places where the term “the LORD” appears. In this brief passage, it appears no less than 60 times. Since this passage is associated with the Last Great Day, this could be indicative of the whole world calling upon that name in the last days. Even though Israel was commanded to declare His Name before all nations, the Jews ceased using His Name following their Babylonian captivity, so as to guard and protect the sacred name. In the last days, declaring Yahuwah’s name will bring the death penalty upon that person. However, when sin is finally conquered, the whole earth will openly declare the Name of Yahuwah.

Ps. 113: 1 - Praise you Yahuwah. Praise, O you servants of Yahuwah, praise the name of Yahuwah.

2 - Blessed be the name of Yahuwah from this time forth and for evermore.

3 - From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same Yahuwah’s name is to be praised.

4 - Yahuwah is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 - Who is like unto Yahuwah our Elohim, who dwells on high,

Both the Hebrew and Christian religions have come to ignore this command. The Jews covered up the name, replacing it with Ha Shem (the Name) and, of course, deny the Son and His name altogether. Mainstream Christianity changed both names (i.e. the LORD, Jesus). Since when are we to ignore ANY of the commandments of Yahuwah? This is the first and greatest commandment of all.

Ex. 20:3 - You shall have no other elohim before me.

4 - You shall not make unto yourselves any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 - You shall not bow down yourselves to them, nor serve them: for I Yahuwah thy Elohim am a jealous Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 - And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 - You shall not take the name of Yahuwah your Elohim in vain; for Yahuwah will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

When we substitute foreign names and titles for the true name of Elohim, do we not take His Name in vain? While the Jewish substitutions seem innocent enough, the Christian ones certainly are not at all innocent. They are basically names of Roman gods that have been substituted. Therefore, the Christian religion definitely is guilty of serving other (Roman) gods. The term “God” in itself is an abomination before Yahuwah since it was part of one of the titles for the false deity, Baal (i.e. Baal-gad or Gaud – both pronounced the same).

I don’t know of any graven images that the Jews bow before, but the Christian religion certainly has its fair share. Walk into any traditional Christian church and the first thing one sees is a graven image of one who is supposed to be an accurate reflection of the Messiah; and another of His mother, Mary. In doing so, the Christian religion demonstrates hatred toward Yahuwah, not love. In doing so, the Christian religion takes the curse of Yahuwah and places it upon their children up to the 3rd and 4th generations.

Do you love Yahuwah? There is an easy way to prove it. If one loves Yahuwah, he/she will KEEP His commandments. If one does not keep His commandments that is proof of hatred towards Yahuwah and love towards the pagan Roman gods; and in particular, Emperor Constantine. In living lives of obedience to that Roman Emperor rather than Yahuwah, they, in fact, set up Constantine as the god they worship. What does the Christian faith teach? They teach that the commandments are done away with – i.e. hatred towards Yahuwah. The truth of this is spelt out so many times in the Scriptures that only a complete idiot would translate it otherwise. And yet, that scales of spiritual blindness completely obscure the Christian faith against any discernability of what the truth is.

Yahuwah’s name is one that is above all other names. It is to be treated with the utmost respect and reverence. We are not to use substitutions (especially pagan ones) or omissions. Either constitutes using Yahuwah’s name in vain. If one is directing their prayers and worship to the name of any other elohim, they are praying and worshipping in vain. Yahuwah will not honour such prayers and worship. For example, imagine calling your wife by another woman’s name. How much trouble would you be in? Yahuwah is no different.

Ps. 113:6 - Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

7 - He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the dunghill;

8 - That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

Yahuwah was also the name of the Son before His earthly manifestation. Remember that He came in the Father’s name, and it was the Son who created all things, by the power of the Father. Yahuwah (the Son) did indeed humble Himself to behold (reveal) all things to us that are in heaven and earth. He blesses what humanity has cursed and curses what they have blessed. He blesses the poor and humble while cursing the rich and wise of this world. Only in Yahuwah’s world can a poor and humble man be elevated from his lowly position to that of a prince (i.e. Moshe).

Ps. 113:9 - He makes the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise you Yahuwah.

Again, I believe this is speaking spiritually. The barren woman is the faith of True Believers. They have gone from spiritually barren to wondrously fruitful in introducing the spirit of Yahuwah to all of their brethren and nurturing it. The assembly of True Believers are indeed joyful mothers of children; bring them into the true spirit of Yahuwah. This is very pleasing in the sight of Yahuwah.

Ps. 114:1 - When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

2 - Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

3 - The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

4 - The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

5 - What ailed you, O you sea, that you flee? you Jordan, that you were driven back?

6 - You mountains, that you skipped like rams; and you little hills, like lambs?

7 - Tremble, you earth, at the presence of Yahuwah, at the presence of the Elohim of Jacob;

8 - Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

Ps. 15:1 - Not unto us, O Yahuwah, not unto us, but unto your name give glory, for your mercy, and for your truth’s sake.

How do we glorify the Father’s name if we do not use it ourselves or teach it to others? When we use substitutes, we give glory to that substitute, whose name is often rooted in paganism, not to Yahuwah.

Israel is the name of the nation. It comprises 12 (or12 ½) tribes. Judah was but one of those tribes. Following Solomon’s reign, the nation of Israel split in two, with the nation of Judah to the south and the nation of Israel to the north. The priestly duties were delegated to the tribe of Levi which dwelt primarily in Judah, where the temple was situated. Therefore, the tribe/nation of Judah became the dominant one (at least until they committed apostasy and ended up in Babylonian captivity). Judah is, of course, the tribe from which the Messiah came.

These verses, in some ways, reflect the end times as well as the days of the exodus. In those former days, the earth was quite limited as far as habitable lands and number of population. The number of witnesses to those prior events were rather limited, basically only the Israelites. However, in the end days the entire world is going to personally witness the great glory of Yahuwah. Every eye shall see and every knee bow!

Re 1:7 - Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Isa 45:23 - I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Ro 14:11 - For it is written, As I live, said Yahuwah, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to Elohim.

This will be the day known as “the Day of Yahuwah”. This is the “Last Great Day”. This day follows the millennial rule of Yahushua, the cleansing of the earth of all sin and on the day when the earth is finally made ready for the coming of the Father to dwell with his creation. (1Co 15:55 - O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?)

Mankind will be in no way able to claim any credit for what takes place. This is on Yahuwah alone. He developed the plan before the creation and has seen it though His mysterious ways to its fruition. All of the credit and the glory go ultimately to Him. Hallelujah!

Ps. 115:2 - Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their Elohim?

3 - But our Elohim is in the heavens: he has done whatsoever he has pleased.

4 - Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

5 - They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

6 - They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

7 - They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

8 - They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusts in them.

9 - O Israel, trust you in Yahuwah: he is their help and their shield.

How many times, such as in moments of grief, have you hear non-believers exclaim, “Where was god when ….?” They suddenly need someone to blame, and when there is no physical scapegoat, they blame their god. Their god, of course, is HaSatan; who rightly deserves the blame. However, in their hearts they believe they are worshipping the One True Elohim, and; therefore, are dishonouring His Name.

Idols of silver and gold are the works of man’s hands, not Yahuwah’s. Yet mankind worships its idols in place of Yahuwah – making their worship void and of no value. Their idols can do nothing in regard to spiritual purification. They are absolutely useless. Those who make them and those who serve them are of the exact same spiritual state – spiritually blind.

Yahushua opened the door for us to have a close and intimate relationship with the Father. We have One Creator and One Mediator and Teacher. One is the Father. The other is the Son. We have no need of any other, as far as our relationship with the Father goes. We do not need a church, a group or any human pastor. Man deceives, Yahushua does not. If we follow His Word and His alone, we are on the right track towards gaining salvation.

Ps. 115:10 - O house of Aaron, trust in Yahuwah: he is their help and their shield.

11 - You that fear Yahuwah trust in Yahuwah: he is their help and their shield.

12 - Yahuwah has been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

13 - He will bless them that fear Yahuwah, both small and great.

14 - Yahuwah shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

15 - You are blessed of Yahuwah which made heaven and earth.

TRUST IN YAHUWAH! That is our number one duty. If that is our prime focus, salvation is right around the corner. Think about the degree of trust Yahushua had in the Father. Yahushua knew full well that His Father had power over death; and it was His trust in that fact that gave Him the courage to face His sacrifice. Think about the trust Moshe had to face the most powerful king on Earth and defeat him. Think about the great faith that Noah had, building an ark in the days when the Earth had never known rain and enduring the scorn and ridicule of his fellow inhabitants. Now, think about your own faith and how it compares to these glorious examples standing before us. How do we measure up? We all profess our faith freely with our lips; but when our final testing and persecution is upon us, that is when we will know the state of our faith for sure.

The greatest blessing for any Believer is being called into the light of Yahushua to begin with. No other blessing should be sought; however, True Believer will experience other blessings also.

The “house of Israel” (I believe) is a reference to the Ten Lost Tribes. These are the Lost Sheep of Israel, to whom the Messiah was sent. Their blessings will depend upon them returning to Yahuwah and bringing themselves under obedience to His commandments. And this is only the beginning of their blessings.

Ps. 115:16 - The heaven, even the heavens, are Yahuwah’s: but the earth has he given to the children of men.

17 - The dead praise not Yahuwah, neither any that go down into silence.

18 - But we will bless Yahuwah from this time forth and for evermore. Praise Yahuwah.

Ps. 116:1 - I love Yahuwah, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.

2 - Because he has inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

Ever since the Garden of Eden, mankind has demanded to be worshipped as gods. Every world ruling Emperor has demanded such worship. Every Roman Catholic Pope has demanded such worship. Everyone wants to be god, but no one wants to go through the process. So they simply believe HaSatan’s lie that we are already gods.

Again, verse 17 is talking about both the physically dead and the spiritually dead. They praise not Yahuwah, because they praise their man-made traditions before the Word of Elohim. Praising, blessing and loving Yahuwah is the key to salvation. If you have all of these 3 things under control, the rest of the road is much easier. When we have all of these in place, we will have succeeded in writing the laws of Yahuwah on our hearts and in our minds and we will be deemed “fit for the Kingdom”.

Ps. 16:3 - The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

4 - Then called I upon the name of Yahuwah; O Yahuwah, I beseech you, deliver my soul.

5 - Gracious is Yahuwah, and righteous; yea, our Elohim is merciful.

6 - Yahuwah preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7 - Return unto your rest, O my soul; for Yahuwah has dealt bountifully with you.

8 - For you have delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

I believe that one needs to be poor and destitute to really experience Yahuwah’s blessings. Even fulfilling the simplest of human needs, such a meal to get one through another day, is a blessing that is greatly appreciated. When I think about how many times my soul (body) was delivered from death, I am truly humbled. And for all the times I have been healed, I am truly thankful.

Ps. 16:9 - I will walk before Yahuwah in the land of the living.

10 - I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

11 - I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 - What shall I render unto Yahuwah for all his benefits toward me?

13 - I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Yahuwah.

14 - I will pay my vows unto Yahuwah now in the presence of all his people.

15 - Precious in the sight of Yahuwah is the death of his saints.

“Walking before Yahuwah” simply means walking in accordance to His Word and His commandments. As you believe, so do you speak! Our words can, at times, greatly condemn us and reveal shortcomings concerning our spiritual condition.

Are all men liars? If talking about worldly men (non believers) I would certainly agree. However, those who are being called out of this world are primarily truth-seekers by nature. I have had the privilege of encountering many such truth seekers along the way and am honoured to have come to know them.

Once we accept the cup of salvation, there is no turning back. We either keep striving towards the finish line or lose out on salvation altogether.

There is only one name under heaven by which salvation comes – Yahuwah. Calling upon any other name is a simple waste of time. We have all made a vow to Yahuwah – to keep His Word and make ourselves over into His image. Any vow made to Yahuwah must be taken seriously and completed. Naturally, Yahuwah mourns the deaths of all His saints. Well, one may ask, why does He let them die? With Yahuwah, the suffering of death for his name’s sake is the highest sacrifice and honour anyone can attain. Rather than mourning such a fate, we should be looking forward to the opportunity to prove our faith beyond doubt.

Ps. 116:16 - O Yahuwah, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds.

17 - I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Yahuwah.

18 - I will pay my vows unto Yahuwah now in the presence of all his people,

19 - In the courts of Yahuwah’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise you Yahuwah.

We are to look at our calling as a “get out of jail free” card. We have been completely and totally pardoned of all our past sins and given an opportunity to live lives of obedience to Yahuwah. Legally speaking, being so pardoned means that we must never go back to the way we were. If so, our past sins will be brought back and used against us. At that point, salvation no longer applies and we are doomed to the Lake of Fire.

Ps. 117:1 - O praise Yahuwah, all you nations: praise him, all you people.

2 - For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of Yahuwah endures forever. Praise you Yahuwah.

Ps. 18:1 - O give thanks unto Yahuwah; for he is good: because his mercy endures forever.

2 - Let Israel now say, that his mercy endures forever.

3 - Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endures forever.

4 - Let them now that fear Yahuwah say, that his mercy endures forever.

At one time Yahuwah was calling upon all nations to worship Him. However, they denied Him and fought against Him all the harder. I the beginning Gentiles were invited to join the Israelites as citizens as long as they practiced the faith of Israel. They were never turned away from the Temple and worshiping alongside the Israelites. It was a different story afterwards when the Messianic followers amongst the Gentiles began flooding the Temple and the synagogues. Then the Jews became protective and guarded in regard to their faith. They wanted to keep Yahuwah to themselves, rather than share Him with the rest of the world. That is when they left off following Yahuwah’s clear commandment to reveal His Name to the entire world.

By the time Yahushua came in the flesh, it seems that Yahuwah was no longer calling ALL the nations, but only the Lost Sheep of Israel. The “Lost Sheep” typically refers to the lost ten tribes of Northern Israel which went into captivity and was lost to the world. And yet, Abraham’s descendants were prophesied to be as numerous and the grains of sand in the sea. That is a very large number in which today’s population of approximately 7 billion does not even begin to cover, Naturally it is talking about all the generations that have passed since that time. Of course, after all this time, no one knows for sure if they are an Israelite. But, Yahuwah knows, and it is this group that He is calling out of the Gentile nations to the House of Israel.

Thankfully His mercy does endure forever; else we would all be toast by now. Like any good parent, Yahuwah wills that all His children succeed in fulfilling their true purpose. He has and will offer every opportunity to us to succeed. However, for us, forever means till the end of our physical lives. We only have until then to get things right and come into the fullness of Yahushua, if we desire to live on past that point into all of eternity. We need a diploma to graduate. However, the amount of effort we put into getting that diploma decides what position in the Kingdom we will attain. In this case we should all be working to become honour students.

Ps. 118:5 - I called upon Yahuwah in distress: Yahuwah answered me, and set me in a large place.

6 - Yahuwah is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

7 - Yahuwah takes my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

8 - It is better to trust in Yahuwah than to put confidence in man.

9 - It is better to trust in Yahuwah than to put confidence in princes.

Often people wait until times of extreme stress before they call on Yahuwah. If they had been doing so all along, they might not have had to suffer the distress at all.

We can know for certain that if we are living lives of active obedience towards Yahuwah that He IS on our side. There is absolutely no way any man can take our salvation from us unless we allow them to. They may feel that they have achieved victory by killing us, but, in reality, they have only sealed the guarantee of our salvation – as long as we do not deny Yahuwah when the time comes. We need not waste time deciding how to deal with our enemies. Yahuwah will deal with them in His own way. Far too many people amongst Mainstream Christianity put all their confidence in their church and their ministers (man) and not Yahuwah, rather than searching and proving all things on their own. We only have need of one Teacher, who is Yahushua.

Ps. 118:10 - All nations compassed me about: but in the name of Yahuwah will I destroy them.

11 - They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of Yahuwah I will destroy them.

12 - They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of Yahuwah I will destroy them.

13 - You have thrust sore at me that I might fall: but Yahuwah helped me.

14 - Yahuwah is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

Are we living our lives “in the Name of Yahuwah”? This is a question that we must continuously examine and judge. It is better that we judge ourselves now than wait to be judged.

We cannot hide our spiritual condition behind an expensive suit, dress, a perfect hair do or a friendly smile. One never knows what hides behind those fronts. If a lowly, disheveled beggar walked into any church today, he would be shunned. Yet, they may be a giant step closer to salvation than any of us. A good example of this is the way some of Yahuwah’s most valued prophets appeared before the people. They certainly were shown no honour while they lived.

Ps. 118:15 - The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of Yahuwah does valiantly.

16 - The right hand of Yahuwah is exalted: the right hand of Yahuwah does valiantly.

17 - I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of Yahuwah.

The term, “The right hand of YHVH” is commonly used in the Old Testament. At that point in time, the person of the Son was hidden from creation, in that he so perfectly reflected the Father that the creation came to believe He was the Father. The Christian churches that teach that the Old Testament is done away, are basically eliminating the Father and replacing Him with the Son. That is totally impossible. Yahushua is to sit beside the Father, along with the rest of the righteous, not “on” His throne. Yahuwah is the same yesterday, today and forever more. His Kingdom is eternal. His office, of the Creator, is eternal – just as is Yahushua’s office of Firstborn.

The beginning of verse 17 may be alluding to Yahushua’s death and resurrection; and the second half, how it is that He lives. If we wish to attain that same state, we must do so by the same method – declaring the works of Yahuwah.

Part of declaring the works of Yahuwah includes how the universe was created. The scientific world, in denying the Creator, promotes the myth of evolution. The difference is that the Creation story begins with life springing from absolute non-existence. Since such a thing is physically impossible, scientists skip that reality and begin the evolution with all the necessities for life already in place. Everything in the universe moves in cycles; and, as in looking at a perfectly formed circle, one cannot determine where it begins and ends. Therefore, since this is the major trait of the physical realm, the physical creation could not have created itself. It had to have had an external, non-physical spark. Picture a car engine. You have pistons moving up and down driven by a crank shaft traveling in a circular motion. Alone, neither can do anything! But then you add an external spark (from the spark plug) to the other and it explodes into life.

We must not be shy about performing this one, all-encompassing, work – of declaring the works of Yahuwah. That is our prime duty and expectation towards Yahuwah. That is the only means by which we will be granted eternal life.

Ps. 118:18 - Yahuwah has chastened me sore: but he has not given me over unto death.

19 - Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will Yahuwah:

20 - This gate of Yahuwah, into which the righteous shall enter.

21 - I will praise you for you have heard me, and are become my salvation.

22 - The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

What is the purpose of chastening? Is it not to make one perfect? So rather than lamenting in self pity and whining about being chastened (as Cain did) look for the lesson that Yahuwah is trying to set before you. Learn from it and adapt your behaviour, words and thoughts to that lesson.

We are to keep a picture of that “Gate of Yahuwah” before us in our minds at all times. We are to picture ourselves walking through it with robes wash dazzlingly white by the blood of Yahushua – purified and righteous for all of eternity. Think and meditate on what Yahushua suffered to attain His office. Do you really believe that you will enter that gate by any other means? If you do, you are delusional.

Conclusion

The Last Great Day represents the completion of the creation of Yahuwah. The righteous in Yahushua will walk through that Gate of Yahuwah in glory, clearly seeing the promise of Yahuwah before them. They will have earned their reward, just as the unrighteous will receive the reward they earned. We earn the reward of righteousness by doing the will of Yahuwah; and we do those works by declaring His works to the world. We do those works by talking the talk and walking the walk. Our actions must compliment our words at all times. Those words and actions must assimilate those of Yahushua’s.

On this day, we should be picturing ourselves in the Kingdom in our glorious new bodies. The old Earth will no longer exist. We will be living on a new Earth; and the Father will dwell in the midst of us. There will be no more need for the sun and the moon, for the light of Yahuwah will illuminate the universe. The darkness of death will be defeated and will not be known any more. What a cause for celebration this day is!

Yahuwah Bless
