Introduction
Gen. 6:1 - And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 - That the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 - And YHVH said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 - There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of Elohim came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 - And Elohim saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 - And it repented YHVH that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 - And YHVH said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
The Scriptures give only a very vague account of what actually transpired before the flood. Somehow the majority of mankind had become so evil and corrupt that YHVH saw fit to destroy them off the face of the earth. Part of that reason, it seems, had something to do with the interference of angels who left their heavenly abode to unite with the women of earth (sexually) and produce giant offspring. These angels are called the sons of Elohim in the Scriptures. In fact, throughout the entire Old Testament, all references to “the sons of Elohim” are speaking of angels. Only in the New Testament is this term applied to man, specifically the saints. In the Book of Enoch these son’s of Elohim are called the Watchers. This name implies their job, which was to watch over and nurture mankind, not to mate with them and defile their own essence. The children of these unions became a curse upon the earth.
When I was studying mythology, I could not help but query concerning the origins of such myths. When we think of myths we generally think of them as products of someone’s fertile imagination. But what if the source was actually a living being that existed at some previous point in time? That being could have been either a heavenly being (angel) or a human. The qualifying factor seems to be that whichever they were, they were highly respected and honored by the people of the earth – so much so that the people began to worship them as gods.
Where the Scriptures are vague, the parallel passages from the Book of Enoch gives us quite a bit of information. Check out the site below for a complete online copy of this very interesting book. Strangely the Book of Jasher makes no mention of the corrupt angels or their union with the women of earth. I have copied the main chapters from the Book of Enoch below that deal with this subject. (Note – The numbers of the verses appear exactly as I copied them. I have no idea why they were placed in the middle of a sentence as they were.)

The Book of Enoch
Chapter 6
1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto 2 them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men 3 and beget us children.' And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not 4 indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.' And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations 5 not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.' Then sware they all together and bound themselves 6 by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn 7 and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And these are the names of their leaders: Samlazaz, their leader, Araklba, Rameel, Kokablel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, 8 Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaq1el, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel. These are their chiefs of tens.
Some have confused the English translation of Genesis 6 to mean that the sons of Elohim were the human descendants of Seth, but nowhere in the Scriptures is that ever implied. In the Old Testament the term “sons of Elohim” (“sons of God” in the English translations) always applies to angels.
All in all there were 200 of the angels who left their heavenly estate to join themselves to the women of the earth. The leader of them was Semjaza. This is likely the same person as HaSatan (The Adversary). Here it is revealed that it was first his idea to join himself with an earthly woman, and not wanting to commit this sin alone, he convinces the other 199 to join him. Misery loves company. This list at the end of chapter 6 are the leaders – 19 in all- and each has 10 other angels under them. I have been unsuccessful at trying to make these numbers work out to 200 exactly. Perhaps Enoch just rounded off the number.
Chapter 7
1 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms 2 and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they 3 became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed 4 all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against 5 them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and 6 fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
I would take the above to mean that all “200” took a wife or a number of wives to themselves. At first they taught their wives all about charms and enchantments that could be made from roots and plants. Perhaps these were for the purpose of either making the female egg receptive to the angelic sperm or making the angelic being capable of impregnating a female human. According to the Messiah angels neither give nor are given in marriage. Therefore, they either live common law or are intended to be non-sexual beings by nature. Perhaps these angels discovered their own brand of Viagra within some of the roots and plants on earth? Sin definitely changed their nature, just as it did man’s. If we are to go by the order in which these facts are presented, it would certainly seem that the experimentation with the roots and plants came before the births of the giants. In case anyone is wondering how high 3,000 ells is, one ell is approximately one cubit (or a cubit plus one palm). A cubit is 48 – 57.6cms or 18.9-22.7in. Let just set it at 20 inches for the same of this calculation. 20 x 3000 = 60,000 inches = 5,000 feet. Can this possibly be right? Can anyone imagine a being 5,000 feet high? Even I think this is a bit of an exaggeration. But let’s forget about that for now and simply agree they were very huge. Even if we knocked off a couple of zeros we still end up with a being large enough to command the fear and obedience of the average human.
If each couple produced one child there would have been 200 of these giants all together. They must have had horrendous appetites for they consumed all the supply of edible food (likely clean food), then started eating mankind, followed by all unclean foods and finally each other. One would wonder if YHVH had to bring a flood to keep Noah and his family from being eaten. If the magnitude of the flood ever seemed like over-kill, we might now be better able to understand the reasoning. If theses giants were indeed 5,000 feet tall, it is no wonder why YHVH had to cover all the mountain tops with water.
“Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.” When there are none left to praise YHVH and accuse sinners, the very stones and trees will call out to Elohim. YHVH’s spirit is in every living thing. Rocks and plants are living things. They witness against all evil on the earth (and throughout the universe) and report all abominations to YHVH. His ears and eyes are everywhere; therefore, we cannot hide from YHVH ever. We may think that once we get out of church on the Sabbath that we can relax and do what we want, but we can’t. We really can’t. We are to be righteous and set apart at all times.
Chapter 8
1 And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all 2 colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they 3 were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjaza taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, 'Armaros the resolving of enchantments, Baraqijal (taught) astrology, Kokabel the constellations, Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and Sariel the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven . . .
Above are list all the things and knowledge that was acquired by man from these fallen angels – everything from makeup to weapons. If you are wondering what antimony is the definition is below.

I am not sure what was sinful about any of these things. Perhaps it was not the things or the knowledge by what they were being used for.
Chapter 9
1 And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven and saw much blood being 2 shed upon the earth, and all lawlessness being wrought upon the earth. And they said one to another: 'The earth made without inhabitant cries the voice of their cryingst up to the gates of heaven. 3 And now to you, the holy ones of heaven, the souls of men make their suit, saying, "Bring our cause 4 before the Most High."' And they said to the Lord of the ages: 'Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings, and God of the ages, the throne of Thy glory (standeth) unto all the generations of the 5 ages, and Thy name holy and glorious and blessed unto all the ages! Thou hast made all things, and power over all things hast Thou: and all things are naked and open in Thy sight, and Thou seest all 6 things, and nothing can hide itself from Thee. Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven, which 7 men were striving to learn: And Semjaza, to whom Thou hast given authority to bear rule over his associates. And they have gone to the daughters of men upon the earth, and have slept with the 9 women, and have defiled themselves, and revealed to them all kinds of sins. And the women have 10 borne giants, and the whole earth has thereby been filled with blood and unrighteousness. And now, behold, the souls of those who have died are crying and making their suit to the gates of heaven, and their lamentations have ascended: and cannot cease because of the lawless deeds which are 11 wrought on the earth. And Thou knowest all things before they come to pass, and Thou seest these things and Thou dost suffer them, and Thou dost not say to us what we are to do to them in regard to these.'
I am sure that many of the names of the angels are new to most readers. The name Azazel should be familiar with any already keeping the feasts. On the Day of Atonement the sins of man are placed on the Azazel goat and he is sent into the wilderness. Try to keep the names of these fallen angels in mind because I believe we will be hearing them again soon.
Chapter 10
1 Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, 2 and said to him: 'Go to Noah and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come 3 upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. And now instruct him that he may escape 4 and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.' And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening 5 in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may 6,7 not see light. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the 8 Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons. And the whole earth has been corrupted 9 through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.' And to Gabriel said the Lord: 'Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy [the children of fornication and] the children of the Watchers from amongst men [and cause them to go forth]: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in 10 battle: for length of days shall they not have. And no request that they (i.e. their fathers) make of thee shall be granted unto their fathers on their behalf; for they hope to live an eternal life, and 11 that each one of them will live five hundred years.' And the Lord said unto Michael: 'Go, bind Semjaza and his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves 12 with them in all their uncleanness. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is 13 for ever and ever is consummated. In those days they shall be led off to the abyss of fire: and 14 to the torment and the prison in which they shall be confined for ever. And whosoever shall be condemned and destroyed will from thenceforth be bound together with them to the end of all 15 generations. And destroy all the spirits of the reprobate and the children of the Watchers, because 16 they have wronged mankind. Destroy all wrong from the face of the earth and let every evil work come to an end: and let the plant of righteousness and truth appear: and it shall prove a blessing; the works of righteousness and truth' shall be planted in truth and joy for evermore.
The children of these unions hoped that they would live forever like their Fathers, but that was not to be. YHVH limited their life expectancy to 500 years, but then they slew one another anyway. Most of mankind at the time lived almost twice that long, so I’d guess this proclamation was a bit of a slap in the face to these giants. YHVH allowed the fallen angels to stay free long enough to witness the destruction of their offspring and then bound them for a period of 70 generations. It is my understanding that a generation is 19 years. Then 70 generations would be 1330 years. Since we do not know the exact date of this proclamation it is difficult to determine an end date. For argument sake the flood occurred sometime between 2300 and 2400bc. Therefore the end date could be between 970bc and 1070bc. I am not sure what significant event this can be tied to. It would have been around the time of the dividing of the Kingdom of Israel into two. The last part that I highlighted here is messianic in nature, talking of the time of the 1st coming of the Messiah.
Chapter 12
1 Before these things Enoch was hidden, and no one of the children of men knew where he was 2 hidden, and where he abode, and what had become of him. And his activities had to do with the Watchers, and his days were with the holy ones. 3 And I Enoch was blessing the Lord of majesty and the King of the ages, and lo! the Watchers 4 called me -Enoch the scribe- and said to me: 'Enoch, thou scribe of righteousness, go, declare to the Watchers of the heaven who have left the high heaven, the holy eternal place, and have defiled themselves with women, and have done as the children of earth do, and have taken unto themselves 5 wives: "Ye have wrought great destruction on the earth: And ye shall have no peace nor forgiveness 6 of sin: and inasmuch as they delight themselves in their children, The murder of their beloved ones shall they see, and over the destruction of their children shall they lament, and shall make supplication unto eternity, but mercy and peace shall ye not attain."'
The main part of Enoch’s ministry was directed towards the Watchers and prophesying against them. Here YHVH declares that the requests of the Watchers would not be heard and that mercy would never be shown them.
Chapter 13
1 And Enoch went and said: 'Azazel, thou shalt have no peace: a severe sentence has gone forth 2 against thee to put thee in bonds: And thou shalt not have toleration nor request granted to thee, because of the unrighteousness which thou hast taught, and because of all the works of godlessness 3 and unrighteousness and sin which thou hast shown to men.' Then I went and spoke to them all 4 together, and they were all afraid, and fear and trembling seized them. And they besought me to draw up a petition for them that they might find forgiveness, and to read their petition in the presence 5 of the Lord of heaven. For from thenceforward they could not speak (with Him) nor lift up their 6 eyes to heaven for shame of their sins for which they had been condemned. Then I wrote out their petition, and the prayer in regard to their spirits and their deeds individually and in regard to their 7 requests that they should have forgiveness and length. And I went off and sat down at the waters of Dan, in the land of Dan, to the south of the west of Hermon: I read their petition till I fell 8 asleep. And behold a dream came to me, and visions fell down upon me, and I saw visions of chastisement, and a voice came bidding (me) I to tell it to the sons of heaven, and reprimand them. 9 And when I awaked, I came unto them, and they were all sitting gathered together, weeping in 10 'Abelsjail, which is between Lebanon and Seneser, with their faces covered. And I recounted before them all the visions which I had seen in sleep, and I began to speak the words of righteousness, and to reprimand the heavenly Watchers.
Chapter 13 is much the same as 12.
Chapter 14
1 The book of the words of righteousness, and of the reprimand of the eternal Watchers in accordance 2 with the command of the Holy Great One in that vision. I saw in my sleep what I will now say with a tongue of flesh and with the breath of my mouth: which the Great One has given to men to 3 converse therewith and understand with the heart. As He has created and given to man the power of understanding the word of wisdom, so hath He created me also and given me the power of reprimanding 4 the Watchers, the children of heaven. I wrote out your petition, and in my vision it appeared thus, that your petition will not be granted unto you throughout all the days of eternity, and that judgement 5 has been finally passed upon you: yea (your petition) will not be granted unto you. And from henceforth you shall not ascend into heaven unto all eternity, and in bonds of the earth the decree 6 has gone forth to bind you for all the days of the world. And (that) previously you shall have seen the destruction of your beloved sons and ye shall have no pleasure in them, but they shall fall before 7 you by the sword. And your petition on their behalf shall not be granted, nor yet on your own: even though you weep and pray and speak all the words contained in the writing which I have 8 written. And the vision was shown to me thus: Behold, in the vision clouds invited me and a mist summoned me, and the course of the stars and the lightnings sped and hastened me, and the winds in 9 the vision caused me to fly and lifted me upward, and bore me into heaven. And I went in till I drew nigh to a wall which is built of crystals and surrounded by tongues of fire: and it began to affright 10 me. And I went into the tongues of fire and drew nigh to a large house which was built of crystals: and the walls of the house were like a tesselated floor (made) of crystals, and its groundwork was 11 of crystal. Its ceiling was like the path of the stars and the lightnings, and between them were 12 fiery cherubim, and their heaven was (clear as) water. A flaming fire surrounded the walls, and its 13 portals blazed with fire. And I entered into that house, and it was hot as fire and cold as ice: there 14 were no delights of life therein: fear covered me, and trembling got hold upon me. And as I quaked 15 and trembled, I fell upon my face. And I beheld a vision, And lo! there was a second house, greater 16 than the former, and the entire portal stood open before me, and it was built of flames of fire. And in every respect it so excelled in splendour and magnificence and extent that I cannot describe to 17 you its splendour and its extent. And its floor was of fire, and above it were lightnings and the path 18 of the stars, and its ceiling also was flaming fire. And I looked and saw therein a lofty throne: its appearance was as crystal, and the wheels thereof as the shining sun, and there was the vision of 19 cherubim. And from underneath the throne came streams of flaming fire so that I could not look 20 thereon. And the Great Glory sat thereon, and His raiment shone more brightly than the sun and 21 was whiter than any snow. None of the angels could enter and could behold His face by reason 22 of the magnificence and glory and no flesh could behold Him. The flaming fire was round about Him, and a great fire stood before Him, and none around could draw nigh Him: ten thousand times 23 ten thousand (stood) before Him, yet He needed no counselor. And the most holy ones who were 24 nigh to Him did not leave by night nor depart from Him. And until then I had been prostrate on my face, trembling: and the Lord called me with His own mouth, and said to me: ' Come hither, 25 Enoch, and hear my word.' And one of the holy ones came to me and waked me, and He made me rise up and approach the door: and I bowed my face downwards.
Enoch’s vision of YHVH’s throne is much the same as John’s in the Book of Revelation. In both vision only one throne is pictured and only one is depicted as sitting on that throne (not 3). Although YHVH is surrounded by 100,000,000 of His heavenly creation, He needs no counsel for there is none that is wiser.
Chapter 15
1 And He answered and said to me, and I heard His voice: 'Fear not, Enoch, thou righteous 2 man and scribe of righteousness: approach hither and hear my voice. And go, say to the Watchers of heaven, who have sent thee to intercede for them: "You should intercede" for men, and not men 3 for you: Wherefore have ye left the high, holy, and eternal heaven, and lain with women, and defiled yourselves with the daughters of men and taken to yourselves wives, and done like the children 4 of earth, and begotten giants (as your) sons? And though ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have begotten (children) with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood as those also do who die 5 and perish. Therefore have I given them wives also that they might impregnate them, and beget 6 children by them, that thus nothing might be wanting to them on earth. But you were formerly 7 spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have not appointed wives for you; for as for the spiritual ones of the heaven, in heaven is their dwelling. 8 And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon 9 the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; 10 they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called. [As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.] And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless 12 hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.
The purpose for which the Watchers were created was to intercede for man, and here they were asking a man to intercede for them. They had stepped down from a higher office to a lower one. The spirits of their children would leave their bodies and become evil spirits, to roam the earth to trouble the sons of man. At the time of the judgment they will be cast into the lake of fire and destroyed.
Chapter 16
1 From the days of the slaughter and destruction and death of the giants, from the souls of whose flesh the spirits, having gone forth, shall destroy without incurring judgement -thus shall they destroy until the day of the consummation, the great judgement in which the age shall be 2 consummated, over the Watchers and the godless, yea, shall be wholly consummated." And now as to the watchers who have sent thee to intercede for them, who had been aforetime in heaven, (say 3 to them): "You have been in heaven, but all the mysteries had not yet been revealed to you, and you knew worthless ones, and these in the hardness of your hearts you have made known to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil on earth." 4 Say to them therefore: " You have no peace."'
This is the last chapter in regards to the Watchers and their offspring. They are definitely headed toward destruction. It is also revealed here that YHVH did not impart all knowledge to these Watchers, and that the knowledge that they imparted to the women (their wives) was useless as far as successfully completing the plan of YHVH and their own creation process. Like I have said in other articles, we are still in the creation process and that process will not be complete until we graduate as full Elohim beings.
I stuck in the following chapter simply because it names all of the seven great archangels.
Chapter 20
1,2 And these are the names of the holy angels who watch. Uriel, one of the holy angels, who is 3 over the world and over Tartarus. Raphael, one of the holy angels, who is over the spirits of men. 4,5 Raguel, one of the holy angels who takes vengeance on the world of the luminaries. Michael, one 6 of the holy angels, to wit, he that is set over the best part of mankind and over chaos. Saraqael, 7 one of the holy angels, who is set over the spirits, who sin in the spirit. Gabriel, one of the holy 8 angels, who is over Paradise and the serpents and the Cherubim. Remiel, one of the holy angels, whom God set over those who rise.
Notice that Michael’s name appears in the middle, which happens to be the foremost place of honor on the seven candle menorah. It is the place reserved for the Messiah. This adds to the premise held by some that Yahshua and Michel are one and the same.
The Connection
Now, how do we draw the connecting lines from these fallen angels and their giant offspring to the mythical gods of Pagan religions? Admittedly the evidence is all circumstantial. One has to have a gift for reading between the lines. The prime principle of mythology is that the gods were the product of a watery chaos – i.e. the flood. Well, if their gods were the product of anything, it would make them created beings, not an Elohim of YHVH’s caliber. All their gods are presented as large powerful beings capable of superhuman feats – i.e. Hercules, Apollo, etc. They are at war with one another and committing immoral sex acts and sending one another into the depths of the earth (the underworld). In other words, they did everything the fallen angels and their offspring did. Many years after the flood mankind had no heavenly beings to deify so they began to deify their long dead relatives. Noah was likely the first, followed by his eldest son Shem. It seems that whoever mankind esteems as being worthy of honor, they deify. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Elvis being worshipped as a god someday. A Greek fellow I was working for once told me that “God didn’t make man, it was man who made God”. In the case of pagan gods, he was absolutely correct.
It all sounds so ridiculous. Right now you may be thinking “How could our ancestors have been so backward and ignorant?” For that matter, how could these fallen angels have been so backward and ignorant? YHVH has a very simple plan; Obey Me and follow Me in all My ways and I will make you Elohim of the highest order. There is no plan a, b or c – only one. It is like the owner’s manual you get with a new car. If followed it, your vehicle will serve its utmost purpose. If not followed, its lifespan will be dramatically reduced. Yet for the past 6,000 years, or the entire time that mankind has been on the earth, we have had the greatest difficulty in following the manual (the Scriptures). We are be wise in physical pursuits, while being totally deficient in spiritual matters. We maintain our cars with more care than we do our spiritual condition.
When reading the stories of mythology one cannot help but wonder about the morality of these “gods”. They seem to be forever at war with one another, cheating on their spouses and plotting some sort of evil against one another. In fact, they acted an awful lot like humans. Is that a mere coincidence? The fallen angels lowered their standards to become more human-like. Their children were half human. The long dead human heroes were fully human. This certainly seems like a lose-lose situation here – the blind leading the blind. If no one follows YHVH, no one is going to attain salvation. It is as simple as that. YHVH would have to destroy the entire universe and start all over again. However, the whole purpose of our physical existence is to WORK OUT our salvation now, so that we will not be tempted to sin in the age to come. The fallen angels and all who followed them tried to work their salvation out their way, not YHVH’s way. There is absolutely no agreement or middle ground between the two ways. They run in totally opposite directions. Their deeds were so evil that YHVH will not hear their requests for redemption. We will be in the same boat if, after having learned the truth, we go back once again to the lie.
Yet the pre-flood humans must have certainly been in awe of these magnificent heavenly beings and also of their giant sons. It is easy to understand why they would be enticed into following them. Instead of an invisible Elohim, they had visible ones whose moral aptitude was no better than mankind’s. In fact, they likely taught man a thing or two about immorality. Rather than pursue the spiritual challenges offered by following the Way of YHVH, these human sought after the physical pleasures of the flesh. The only end of physical pursuits is death.

I admit that he was definitely a hero of mine growing up. I have often wondered about Hollywood and Marvel Comics keeping the memories of these mythical legends alive!

Hercules was supposedly fathered by Zeus (who in all likelihood is Semjaza the leader of the fallen angels) and was conceived of a human mother named Alcmene (the fallen angels took wives of mortal women). His sin was twofold since Alcmene was already the wife of a man named Amphitryon. Of course Zeus was already married to the goddess Hrea and this made her extremely jealous and angry and she plotted to make the life of Hercules miserable. From that union came a son of unusual strength and valor. His stature is not revealed but it is possible that not all the children of such unions were 5,000ft giants. In other words, he was big but not big enough to qualify as a giant.
In one of Hera’s ploys to irritate Hercules, she caused him to fly into a terrible rage and kill his own family. He came out of the rage and realized what he had done and became remorseful. He prayed to the sun god Apollo for absolution and was given a task to perform for penance. I bet the Catholics are relieved that now they only have to count rosary beads. He completed his task and was made a full god and allowed to live on Mt Olympus. I wonder if Mt. Olympus was originally Mt. Herman, where the fallen angels first descended. The one trial involved Hercules going to Hades and back to capture Cerberus, the underworld beast. Some sort of death/resurrection theme could have easily been woven around that.
After Hercules completed all his tasks and ascended to Mt. Olympus, he “facilitated Zeus to beat the Giants in a great battle for the control of Olympus”. These giants may also be the Titans of mythological renown. Remember earlier in this article when Jasher spoke of YHVH causing these beings to fight against one another and kill each other? It sounds eerily similar doesn’t it? That’s what I mean about reading between the lines.
Let’s examine one more mythical figure - Apollo. The following link will show that this supposedly mythical figure had some amazing similarities to the New Testament Messiah.

Apollo was honored as the Sun God. He was also known by the Roman term Sol and later Sol Invictus (the invincible sun). His twin sister, Artemis, later became Diana and was associated with moon worship. Their parents were Leto (Latona) and Zeus (Jupiter). No mention is made of whether Leto was human or divine. Then, also, there is no mention of any female angels descending to earth. I would assume that she was one of the first human wives that Semjaza took to himself and she became deified at some point (likely after her death). Some of the messianic attributes of Apollo are as follows:
1. He was known as the healing god.
2. He had power over death in being able to resurrect the dead.
3. His never married, yet had plenty of relationships (with males and females) and children (all male) one of which became known as Dionysus, the god of wine. Jesus never married and turned water into wine.
4. He was known as god of prophecy. The prophesies of Yahshua are also well known
5. He was honored as the god of light, and truth. These attributes are also attributed to the NT Messiah.
All in all the world has 16 crucified saviors including Yahshua. All have strikingly similar stories of being partially human and partially god. They all where born of virgins. All had healing powers. All were killed and resurrected back to life again. All were worshipped as gods. What better method of deception is there than creating confusion? HaSatan merely deceived mankind into worshipping a host of false messiahs, so that they would not be able to differentiate when the real Messiah came.
The Christian faith has literally combined all the attributes of their false messiahs, and transposed them onto the true Son of YHVH. There is even a lot of skepticism today concerning the New Testament account of “Jesus”. It is a documented fact that the NT has been greatly tampered with. Words have been added, taken away and changed. The only authentic book preserved for us today in the original Hebrew is the Gospel of Matthew. The others, we are told, were inspired in the Greek language. That is a lie. All the gospels can easily be translated back into the original Hebrew. One of the qualifying factors for identifying Hebrew origins is the custom of beginning a sentence with the word “and”. That is solely a Hebrew trait. We also have to look at who canonized the New Testament. Was it not predominantly the Roman Christians? Once again we have to read between the lines for any trace of deception. It helps to know the Hebrew mindset when it comes to their understanding of heavenly matters. The apostles did not have the NT to preach from. They proved Yahshua’s Messiahship solely from the OT. I wonder what difficulties they ran into in trying to convince Gentiles that Yahshua was any different from their mythological messiahs. I would imagine that being eye witnesses to his death, resurrection and ascension was a big help.
Post-Flood Paganism
And so, YHVH looked down from His heavenly throne and saw all the evil that was being done on the earth and decided that there was no hope for these people and regretted that He had ever created them. He decided to destroy mankind from the face of the earth with one exception. That exception was Noah – the only righteous man found left on the earth. By his righteousness, his sons and their wives were preserved as well.
Can you imagine yourself being one of the eight humans to survive the flood? After a year on the ark, you finally step out on dry land and the entire earth is your property. You are the overseer of YHVH’s most cherished creation, the planet Earth. What an honor that was. Your duty is to repopulate the earth. Naturally all your children will honor you as being the progenitors of the entire human race. Noah, being the eldest, was the king of the entire earth and high priest before the living Elohim. As the generation progress, families grow into tribes and tribes into nations and before you know it vanity and greed raise their ugly heads again and man once again decides he is not happy with YHVH’s rules and sets out to create their own gods. All of a sudden Noah and his sons become the “gods” who emerged from the watery chaos. After the confusing of languages at the tower of Babel, they become known and worshipped under a host of different names in each different language. Before you know it, you have a whole new pagan system of religion where once again it is the creation being worshipped in place of the Creator. This seems to be the nature of man, to separate himself from the Creator and worship the creation in His place.
It was the great grandson of Noah, Nimrod, who really got pagan worship flourishing again. Nimrod was a man of great stature (somewhat akin to Hercules) and was known as a mighty hunter and warrior. He built a number of great walled cities including Babylon and became so vain in his successes that he began to think of himself as being equal to YHVH. He created his own system of worship that was built partly on pre-flood worship and partly on post-flood worship. Nimrod became the reincarnation of Semjaza. Following the death of Nimrod (according to whichever account one prefers) his wife Semiramis committed fornication, found herself pregnant and told everyone that the spirit of Nimrod had impregnated her. Since Nimrod was already worshipped as a god, the son that Semiramis brought forth became known as the son of god and later the sun god. His name was Tammuz. The Christian cross originated as the first letter of his name with a circle representing the sun crowning his head. His birthday was in December. He also died in December and was resurrected in the spring (at Easter). Certain pagan groups worshipped him openly as late as the early Common Era. He was pictured with long hair and feminine features, much like the Christian messiah today. He was a product of Immaculate Conception. He had all of the attributes of Apollo who we just read about. Could Apollo be the prototype of the Christian “Jesus” that so many worship today as god? For the Roman Christians it was a simple matter of rededicating all the statues, images and temples formerly honoring Tammuz to their “new” messiah “Jesus”. All who have come to the knowledge of the true names know that the name “Jesus” honors Zeus, not YHVH.
Those of us who were former Christians know now how deceived we were. We have acknowledged that we were deceived and have come out of the world of deception to pursue the truth. It took time to shed off all the delusions of pagan worship and we are still not yet completely clean. We have no right to look down on those still deceived, for but for grace of YHVH we would still be with them. The opening of our eyes had nothing to do with anything we did. That was indeed a free gift from YHVH.
Conclusion
It would be my guess that the angelic realm was privy to the plan of YHVH all along. They knew that they were created to serve mankind and that one day they would be judged by man. Some were not satisfied with their position and vanity and greed consumed them. The 200 fallen angels were assigned to the earth to expedite man’s creation process, but instead reversed the roles convincing man to worship them in place of YHVH and put their hope of salvation in them. The result ever since has been total chaos and confusion. Rather than follow the example of the one true Elohim and His Son, mankind has followed the example of all these fallen angels who promoted themselves as gods. They, in fact, worship the creation rather than the Creator. And so, they are doomed to the same fate as the ones they follow.
As long as we think of ancient mythology as interesting stories and honor them as literary classics, we will fail to recognize the underlying work of HaSatan. HaSatan wants us to think of the Scriptures in the same light as ancient mythology – and many certainly do. I have heard many Christian ministers preach that the Bible is not to be taken literally. That is simply one of a long list of lies that Christianity teaches. They promote their false doctrines over the source of all truth. All of their false doctrines stem from the worship of these fallen angels and their children.
One case in point just happened last month when the Salvation Army (here in Canada, at least) refused to accept and distribute Harry Potter toys, games, etc. as Christmas toys. While I was rather impressed with the Sally Ann for making such a public stand, the press tore them apart making them look rather archaic in their beliefs and blasting the SA for distributing toy guns while banning Harry Potter products. The press did have a point there, but to reduce Harry Potter to a harmless children’s story is wrong. Anyone who promotes witchcraft and demonology as harmless children’s stories is contributing to HaSatan’s deception. What better place to begin his deception than with our children. HaSatan has promoted Xmass and Easter as children’s holidays in the same way. As heart wrenching as it sometimes is to deny our children anything, we must sometimes make unpopular choices for their own good.
Any connection between mythology and the fallen angels has become extremely blurred over time. Of course, that was HaSatan’s intention. What better way to deceive mankind concerning the world of demons than to convince man that they do not exist? HaSatan’s plan has worked almost perfectly. The precious few that are called out by YHVH seem to be the only ones who are seeing though the devil’s deception.
Like I said near the beginning of this article, I find it highly unlikely that the characters of pagan mythology are fictional, even if the legends surrounding them are suspect. If these characters have not already been loosened from the abyss, they soon will be. HaSatan has already smoothed out the playing field for mankind to accept them. They will be seen as heroes not villains. Remember, even HaSatan himself appears to us as an angel of light. The vast majority of mankind will be fooled and will bow down and worship these beings. If not for YHVH’s grace in calling us out of the world, we would be bowing down to them too. It is our job now to warn the rest of humanity. Let’s not let YHVH down.
