Pentecost 2019

Pentecost 2019

Shalom! The Day of Pentecost 2019 is here. This day represents the Feast of First Fruits. Why is that significant to us? Because we are the First Fruits of Yahuwah! This is our day of righteous judgement and the prelude to a much larger harvest to come.

Today, I am going to examine certain prophesies that Yahuwah revealed to his servant, Joel, in his short account (3 chapters). I have picked out the ones that highlight this glorious day.

Joel 2: 28 - And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

This event, of course, has already happened in 28 AD, when Yahuwah’s righteous spirit was poured out on the disciples and the others gathered at that place.

Acts 2:1 - And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 - And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 - And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 - And they were all filled with righteous spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7 - And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8 - And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

This was a very remarkable year. It marked the end of the breach in man’s relationship with Yahuwah, which began with Adam’s sin. Salvation was not available during Old Testament times; only death. This was indeed a new page in the history of mankind, and most especially, the children of Elohim. Do you ever wish you can go back in time and witness this most amazing event?

Of course, for the rest of the world, this day passes each year with barely any notice. Yet this day remains the only legitimate High Day on the Mainstream Christian Calendar. Why this day and none of the others? Mainstream Christians celebrate this day as the day Yahushua did away with the Law (O.T vs. NT). They believe that this was the day that the New Testament really began.

Today is going to pass unremarkably for most of mankind. Those who do celebrate it (in truth) identify themselves as the faithful elect. Those who do not, reveal themselves as HaSatan’s elect! There are really only these two choices available to us. Either we worship Yahuwah or we automatically worship HaSatan.

Speaking in tongues has become a controversial event amongst some Mainstream Christian groups. However, the main difference is that no one understands what they are saying. Experts have tried to identify what language, if any, they are speaking in, but have come up empty. Below is the typical Mainstream Christian understanding (or misunderstanding}.

https://carm.org/speaking-in-tongues

“Speaking in tongues is the New Testament phenomena where a person speaks in a language that is unknown to him. This language is either the language of angels or other earthly languages (1 Cor. 13:1).”

“There seem to be three divisions in the use of tongues: First, a private prayer language that is not interpreted; second, a language that is interpreted -- this defines proper usage in the Christian congregation; and third, missionary context -- that is, it appears in the context of evangelism where people (in the New Testament) are presenting the gospel.”

1 Cor. 13:1 - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

MC (Mainstream Christianity) came up with this to cover up the fact that they could not duplicate this feat (where everyone hears them in their own language). Therefore, they have delegated the phenomenon as the voices of angels, which cannot be understood, save through the “gift” bestowed upon one of their members. In other words, it is total nonsense.

Everything to do with Yahuwah has a specific purpose. Those who were assembled in Jerusalem on that day came from all over the known world and some had lost their native languages altogether and only spoke the language of whatever nation they had journeyed from. It was for this cause alone that the righteous spirit of Yahuwah caused them to “speak in Tongues”. However, they needed no interpreter, for each heard plainly in their own language. Yahuwah obviously wanted each to hear and bare witness of this event.

So, is this the end-all as far as the significance of this day; or does it have some future value also. Let’s read on in Joel to find out.

Joel 2:29 - And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 - And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 - The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of Yahuwah come.

Note verse 31 tells us that this day comes before the Day of Yahuwah. The day of Yahuwah is typically represented by the fall feasts. But that is the time of the great resurrection; this spring festival represents the firstfruits (1st pick) of the saints of Yahuwah. These are they whose minds Yahuwah first opened and who diligently sought after him afterword. On this day (in the future) remarkable “signs” will be witnessed in the heavens. The sun is going to be blocked out (darkened) and the moon will become blood red. And finally all sources of light will be darkened or greatly diminished.

And, of course, this all matches a similar prophecy in the Book of Revelation.

Rev. 6:12 - And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 - And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 - And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 - And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 - And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Since the Day of Pentecost is regarded as the first harvest, it will likely also be the beginning of these events, which I would assume may last throughout the summer months till the fall festivals which will culminate with the return of Yahushua.. This is roughly a 3 ½ month interval. That number (3 ½) has a certain special significance throughout the scriptures.

Has such an event ever happened before? Yes it has. Of course, we all know that such an event happened when Yahushua died on the stake. However it supposedly happened in New England in the 18th century, which, according to this author marked the end of the Vatican reign over the Christian world and the beginning of the reign of her harlot daughters.

Prophecy

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened." Matthew 24:29

Fulfillment

Twenty-five years after the Great Earthquake appeared the next sign mentioned in Revelation 6:12,--the darkening of the sun and moon. What rendered this more striking was the fact that the time of its fulfillment had been definitely pointed out. In the Saviour's conversation with his disciples upon Olivet, after describing the long period of trial for the church--the 1260 years of papal persecution, concerning which he had promised that the tribulation should be shortened--he thus mentioned certain events to precede his coming, and fixed the time when the first of these should be witnessed: "In those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light." Mark 13:24. The 1260 days, or years, terminated in 1798. A quarter of a century earlier, persecution had almost wholly ceased. Between these two dates, according to the words of Christ, the sun was to be darkened.

On the 19th of May, 1780, this prophecy was fulfilled. It was not an eclipse. Timothy Dwight says, "The 19th of May, 1780, was a remarkable dark day. Candles were lighted in many houses; the birds were silent and disappeared, and the fowls retired to roost. ... A very general opinion prevailed, that the day of judgment was at hand." Quoted in Connecticut Historical Collections, compiled by John Warner Barber (2nd ed.; New Haven: Durrie & Peck and J.W. Barber, 1836) p. 403. For further commentary on this event please continue reading.

The Dark Day

"Almost if not altogether alone as the most mysterious and as yet unexplained phenomenon of its kind, . . . stands the dark day of May 19, 1780,--a most unaccountable darkening of the whole visible heavens and atmosphere in New England." That the darkness was not due to an eclipse is evident from the fact that the moon was then nearly full. It was not caused by clouds, or the thickness of the atmosphere, for in some localities where the darkness extended, the sky was so clear that the stars could be seen. Concerning the inability of science to assign a satisfactory cause for this manifestation, Herschel the astronomer declares: "The dark day in North America was one of those wonderful phenomena of nature which philosophy is at a loss to explain."

"The extent of the darkness was also very remarkable. It was observed at the most easterly regions of New England; westward, to the farthest part of Connecticut, and at Albany, N. Y.; to the southward, it was observed all along the sea coast; and to the north, as far as the American settlements extended. It probably far exceeded those boundaries, but the exact limits were never positively known. With regard to its duration, it continued in the neighborhood of Boston for at least fourteen or fifteen hours."

"The morning was clear and pleasant, but about eight o'clock there was observed an uncommon appearance in the sun. There were no clouds, but the air was thick, having a smoky appearance, and the sun shone with a pale, yellowish hue, but kept growing darker and darker, until it was hid from sight." There was "midnight darkness at noonday."

Just as on the day Yahushua died, this event happened at the time of the full moon and could not be attributed to any eclipse of the sun. I am not sure I agree with this author’s conclusion, but this event is certainly interesting, never-the-less. And notice the date of this event! I could not find the site that tell us exactly what dates the Hebrew annual holidays landed on in that year, but obviously it was on or near the Day of Pentecost.

And, what great earthquake is the author referring to that occurred 25 years earlier?

The 1755 Lisbon earthquake, also known as the Great Lisbon earthquake, occurred in the Kingdom of Portugal on the morning of Saturday, 1 November, Feast of All Saints, at around 09:40 local time.[2] In combination with subsequent fires and a tsunami, the earthquake almost totally destroyed Lisbon and adjoining areas. Seismologists today estimate the Lisbon earthquake had a magnitude in the range 8.5–9.0[3][4] on the moment magnitude scale, with its epicentre in the Atlantic Ocean about 200 km (120 mi) west-southwest of Cape St. Vincent. Chronologically it was the third known large scale earthquake to hit the city (one in 1321 and another in 1531). Estimates place the death toll in Lisbon alone between 10,000 and 100,000 people,[5] making it one of the deadliest earthquakes in history.

The earthquake accentuated political tensions in the Kingdom of Portugal and profoundly disrupted the country's colonial ambitions. The event was widely discussed and dwelt upon by European Enlightenment philosophers, and inspired major developments in theodicy. As the first earthquake studied scientifically for its effects over a large area, it led to the birth of modern seismology and earthquake engineering.

Rev. 8:12 - And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

This event will happen yet again, just before the great and terrible day of Yahuwah – perhaps beginning on the Day of Pentecost.

Now, back to Joel:

Joel 3: 15 - The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16 - Yahuwah also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but Yahuwah will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Both the heavens and the earth are going to be shaken. This shaking will be like no other in recorded human history.

Rev. 6: 14 - And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

This shaking will literally change the entire global map. There will be no mistaking this event as the real deal. However, the bulk of the global population will curse, rather than praise Yahuwah, in the face of these events. For the faithful; however, this should be a time of great rejoicing, for we know that Yahushua will be returning shortly afterward. And let’s not forget Israel’s experience in Egypt during the time of Moshe.

Ex. 10:21 - And Yahuwah said unto Moses, Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

22 - And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

23 - They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

Only the Israelites had light in their homes. Hopefully during this end-time black out, there will be light in the homes of all True Believers as well. Of course, this light will not be coming from the sun, but from the glory of Elohim which illuminated the galaxy before the sun was formed and will again after the earth is changed.

So, we have much to think about and meditate on concerning this day in Yahuwah’s glorious plan for mankind. Our primary hope should be to be alive to see this day. However, I do not believe we are at the end of the 6,000 years yet. This is only year 5779 on the Hebrew calendar; meaning that we yet have 221 years till the end of the age of men. And these remaining years are to be filled with end-time prophecies coming to light. We can; however, rejoice in the fact that our future generations will witness these events and will be able to tell us all about them following the first resurrection.

Yahuwah Bless
