Can the World Survive a Third World War?

Matt. 24:15 - When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:)
16 - Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 - Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:
18 - Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 - And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 - But pray you that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 - And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
The entire world seems to be falling apart recently with wars breaking out everywhere and especially in the Ukraine, Syria and the South China Sea. The falling oil prices are threatening to destabilize the entire global economy. The outlook for planet earth is not looking good. But is this truly the realization and fulfillment of the above prophesy? Many think it is; and, they may be right. Many, including myself, believe that we could quite possibly be entering into WW3 at this time.
Albert Einstein once said, “If there is ever a world war three, world war four will be fought with sticks and stones. This was, of course after he helped develop the atomic bomb (for which he was afterward remorseful) and saw the results of the two atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan. What he meant was that a third (and likely nuclear) world war would throw planet Earth back into the Stone Age. When one examines the aftermath of the two bombs dropped on Japan, Chernobyl and Kukushima disasters, Einstein’s was a gross understatement.
Twenty five years later, Chernobyl is still pretty much as radioactive as when the disaster first occurred. Kukushima is still spilling vast amounts of radiation into the sea. The threat to marine life in certain areas of the Pacific Ocean is immense. Just a couple of weeks ago, Australia reported that hundreds of dead fish washed up on some of their beaches. Star fish are melting. Whales are beaching themselves in record numbers. Fishermen operating in the Pacific close to Japan have experienced radiation poisoning. A very substantial amount of the world’s food supply has been rendered uneatable. It makes one wonder how any life is going to survive an all out nuclear war.
And yet, that is what the most prominent world leaders seem to be leading us towards. The American government has built huge underground facilities to save the elite of that nation, but exclude the general population. The same goes for Canada. Russia, on the other hand, has enough facilities to house most of the Russian population – but for how long. The big question remains, what will be left of planet Earth to make it worth surviving for?
Some scientists claim that it would take 500,000 years for the radiation to dissipate. The situation in Chernobyl seems to verify that claim. Even 25 years would be a very long time for anyone or anything to survive a full, global, radioactive environment.
Even with these massive underground survival facilities, one might only have 8-10 minutes to reach safety. If you are at work and your children are at school, there would hardly be enough time to round everyone up and get inside any shelter. The panic might be so great that it will be “every man for himself”.
And then what? How long will your stored water and food last? What will be waiting outside for you when you food and water runs out?
Yahushua predicted that the corruption of man would bring him to total self destruction. However, He also promised that He would intervene before that happened.
Of course, it is hoped that nuclear weapons will be used only as the last line of defense. However, there is also the old saying, “Do unto others before they do it unto you”. In the case of America, Russia and China, I have no doubt that each has plans for a preemptive first strike firmly in place. Hopefully they will exhaust all means of conventional warfare first. That will at least buy us some time.
There is much debate on what the “abomination of desolation” described in verse 15 might constitute. Many feel it will be the same as a similar occurrence during the Greek occupation over 2,000 years ago when Antiochus Epiphanes interrupted the temple sacrifices between 168 B.C. and 165 B.C. At that time, the Greek commander erected a statue of Zeus on the Temple Mount and tried to force the Jews to worship it. He also desecrated the alter of the Temple by sacrificing swine on it. This belief may certainly be correct.
Luke offers a slightly different account:
Luke 21:20 - “And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 - Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 - For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 - But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 - And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”
Luke describes the desolation of Jerusalem, not an object of worship but the surrounding of Jerusalem by Gentile armies as the focal point of this desolation and the beginning of the tribulation to follow. It will indeed be a most horrific time for any dwelling in Jerusalem.
The apostle, John, in the Book of Revelation also gives a description of this abomination.
Revelation 13:11 - And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
12 - And he exercises all the power of the first beast before him, and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 - And he doeth great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 - And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 - And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
The lamb, of course represents Yahushua; and the dragon represents HaSatan. This beast will deceive almost the entire earth into believing that he is the returned Messiah; yet, his own words will betray him.
It is my belief that the first beast represents Rome and the second represents the Roman Catholic Church. Rome was already the prime world ruling empire at the time of HaMashiyack. The Roman Catholic Church was created around 300 years later by Emperor Constantine (his version of a one world religion). According to commonly accepted history, Rome fell in the late 6th century (the deadly wound). However, according to Daniel, the Roman Empire (the fourth empire of his vision) was to survive until HaMashiyack returns to establish His millennial Kingdom.
However, when Rome fell, a number of its leaders escaped execution by disguising themselves as RC priests and hiding themselves inside the Vatican. They both basically became one entity and have attempted to rule the world to this very day. That is how the deadly wound was healed.
Later, in the 16th century, that “church” again separated into two distinct bodies. Half became ruled over by the “White Pope” and the Jesuit Order was ruled over by the “Black Pope” (Ignatius Loyola). The White Pope represents the religious element and the Black Pope the political element. The Jesuits infiltrated the governments of nearly every government on earth and influenced and manipulated all decisions that were made by those governments. In this union the second beast (the RCC) gave their power over to the 1st beast (Rome) and allowed Rome to operate virtually undetected to this very day (as per Daniel’s prophesy).
Of course, the Vatican has had plans to set up headquarters in Jerusalem for a very long time, so I expect that sometime down the road, Jerusalem will be under Roman (Gentile) occupation one last time. And, since they basically worship Zeus still, the abomination of desolation may well be some variation of that ancient, pagan deity.
Of course, with the technology today it is much easier to envision some sort of statue that moves and speaks as if it were really alive. All who refuse to bow down and worship this image will be killed.
All of these events will take place during the Great Tribulation, a 7 year period in the end time like none other the world has ever seen.
Matt. 24:7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in different places.
8 - All these are the beginning of sorrows.

So far this event (global war) has happened twice. Each time there were many who believed that they were in the final days of biblical prophecy. However, these two wars were merely part of an overall plan that called for three world wars to finally cement the power of Rome over the world. The revelation by Albert Pike back in the 1800's proves this fact. If the first two followed the plan laid out by Pike, there is no reason to doubt the coming of a third and final war will also. The purpose of that war is to do away with the big three religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The new global religion that will take their place will be the one that worships the image of the beast.
Naturally, the power elite have overlooked one particular “fly in the ointment” – Yahuwah Elohim. As powerful as the elite may seem, they wield nowhere near the awesome power of Yahuwah. The Book of Revelation reveals that Yahuwah is also going to unleash the awesome power of nature at this time. His purpose will be to punish all of the unrighteous, especially the Beast and the False Prophet. In many circumstances the righteous will suffer with the unrighteous.
But to the righteous, death should not be feared; as in their next waking moment, they will be in the Kingdom with everlasting life as their reward. Those still alive when Yahushua returns will be changed by fiat into immortal beings. So, it’s really a win/win situation for the righteous.
Conclusion
As for the question of will there be a third world war, I am afraid the answer is “most definitely”. Are we entering that final stage now? I believe so. Will we need to flee to the wilderness to survive? Most definitely! Will this war eventually turn thermo-nuclear? I believe it will. Are we prepared for such an event? I highly doubt it. We cannot even envision how bad it is going to get.
Presently there are 9 nations possessing nuclear weapons.
1 – The U.S.
2 – Russia
3 – The U.K.
4 – France
5 – China
6 – Pakistan
7 – India
8 – North Korea
9 - Israel
In the case that any one of these nations feel that their continued existence as a nation is threatened we can be sure that they will unleash everything in their arsenal before they bite the big one. After all, what will they have to lose?
Of course, there are a number of other nations seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, also. The recent so-called nuclear agreement that Obama negotiated with Iran (which Iran has still not signed yet) is seen by her neighboring states as call to go nuclear as soon as possible. It was Saudi Arabia that supplied Pakistan with the know how to build their nukes. In exchange, Pakistan is to supply the Saudis with nukes whenever the need arises. Saudi Arabia now sees that need in light of the Iranian deal and has called on Pakistan to honour their commitment.
Israel, of course, is the only Mid-Eastern nation to already possess nuclear weapons. I believe they will do everything in their power to prevent Iran from acquiring them.
Aside from the Middle East, Russia and China are also racing to strengthen their military forces in advance of a certain 3rd world war.
The US is also .busily arming all NATO nations in close proximity to Russia and China with so-called “defense” missile systems, which, of course, could very quickly be armed with nuclear war heads.
So, it does not take a genius to realize that the dreaded day may soon be upon us. About the only thing we can do physically to prepare for it is to stockpile food and water and brush up on our wilderness survival skills. And, even that may prove to be an exercise in futility.
However, there is much we can do spiritually. No matter what pressure is put on us to bow down and worship the beast, we must resist and keep all of our spiritual armour in place. No matter what they do to us, we must maintain our relationship with our Creator. Even if our lives or the lives of our loved ones are threatened, we must never, never, never turn away from Yahuwah. Any spiritual future we may have depends on it.
This situation requires plenty of forethought, my friends. If we fail to plan, we plan to fail. My prayers and hopes go out to all my fellow Believers in this regard.
