The Lesson of Moshe

The Lesson of Moshe

There are many lessons to be learned from the example of Moshe (Moses). The lesson I would like to focus on here is that of doing YHVH’s will, no matter what it is he asks of us. It is my firm belief that all of us truth seekers were all “called” before we were born. That seems to be true of Yahshua and all the great men of YHVH on down through the ages. There is plenty of evidence of this through the Scriptures. Only YHVH knows the end of things before they even began, and so it is to Him that all glory belongs. We cannot ever claim that we came to YHVH by our own hand, for according to our nature, there is nothing that is good about us. It is YHVH that has opened our minds to His righteous spirit and chosen us, not us who have chosen Him. By and of ourselves, we would be like everyone else in the world, either worshipping man-made gods or not worshipping any. The very first humans set the stage for believing that we are already god and capable of making our own decisions. Now that belief is firmly entrenched in our nature. By nature, we prefer all the lies concerning the Creator, the creation, the law and salvation to the truth. We have nothing to glory in and certainly nothing to boast about. Compared to YHVH’s wisdom, ours is as nothing. We are all dumber than stumps. If not for YHVH calling us out of this world to serve Him, we would all remain that way until we died and returned to dust and dust we would remain for all of eternity.

However, YHVH has appointed us called out ones for a very special purpose, that of servitude to Him and also of being an example to the rest of the world. As examples, our thoughts words and actions are at all times to mirror those of YHVH’s. People should know when they look at us that there is something different and unique about us, and that uniqueness is that of being filled with YHVH’s righteous spirit.

We have an entire world of godless individuals to minister to who most often will not believe us. In fact they will most often think that we are ignorant and out of our minds. Yet YHVH expects us to carry on with His work no matter what sort of opposition we encounter.

For the purpose of this article I chose to use the example of Moshe because of its extraordinary value. Moshe not only had to convince the Pharaoh of YHVH’s supreme authority but the Israelites as well. I am sure that when the Pharaoh began to multiply the hardships upon the Israelites that they temporarily lost all belief in what Moshe was saying to them and would have loved nothing better than to kill him and return to the lives they had before no matter how hard that was on them. Moses, himself, wanted to turn from the task that YHVH had set before him, confused because YHVH kept hardening the Pharaoh’s heart. Can you imagine how difficult it was for him to do what YHVH was asking of him? Can you imagine yourself in Moshe’s position?

Because of the wisdom of Joseph, Egypt had become the most powerful nation on the earth at the time and the Pharaoh was likely the most evil man on the earth, sitting in HaSatan’s seat. He would have a latter time disciple in Constantine of Rome.

There are many world leaders today who are just as evil, but according to the Scriptures there is only one who sits in HaSatan’s seat. That seat is located in a great city that sits on seven hills. The name of that city is Vatican City. It is not only a city but a nation unto itself. It is the most powerful city/nation on the face of the earth, although it is not commonly recognized as such. However, since the Roman Empire became the Holy Roman Empire, it has been in almost complete control of the most powerful armies of the most prominent nations of the world for the past 1700 years (give or take).

It is difficult for most to imagine that the present day Pope truly represents HaSatan and not YHVH himself. In fact over 100 million Catholics worship him as “god” on earth. Newly instated presidents and leaders of western countries commonly visit the Pope to receive his blessing shortly after their inauguration. Of course that blessing is conditional to their playing ball with the Vatican. The world does not commonly know that there is another man over the Pope who almost nobody knows who is Jesuit Superior General Adolfo Nicolas. His is the office that orchestrates all of the Vatican wars or the military wing of the Roman Catholic Church. In the past there have been 4 Popes who defied the demands of the Jesuit General. All four met untimely deaths due to poisoning. The poison used sometimes took up to two months to finish them off. In the mean time, the victim would be in the most excruciating pain imaginable. Those of us who are presently involved in seeking out and uncovering all truth know or should know by now that HaSatan is truly the “god” of this world. We should also know that his time is just about over and that very soon Yahshua is going to return to take over the reins of control.

Who was Moshe that YHVH had chosen him for this job? He was actually guilty of the act of murder and on the run from the Egyptian legal system. When YHVH met up with him in the land of Midian, Moshe did not want to leave the comfort and security of he enjoyed in that land. It was his land of refuge. He came up with one argument after another why he was not the right choice for the job, until finally YHVH himself wanted to kill him.

Moshe was deathly afraid to go before Pharaoh and make the demands that YHVH was asking him to make. He feared that he would come once again under the Egyptian law where he was wanted for murder. He complained that he was slow of speech. YHVH agreed to allow his older brother Aaron to speak to the Pharaoh for him, making Moshe a type of Elohim and Aaron his prophet. There is no record of Aaron making any argument concerning what was being asked of him and he would seem to have been more faithful that Moshe. Yet YHVH still chose Moshe.

Can we imagine YHVH asking any one of us to perform such a task? Can you imagine yourself being the one asked to go before HaSatan’s representative on earth and threatening him with all sorts of plagues if he does not do as you ask? That would be an extremely frightful calling; however, our faith should make us more afraid of YHVH than any man, no matter what the consequences. Yet the most immanent prospect of death usually grabs our attention the most.

Most of us are like Moshe, humble and meek, feeling unworthy and afraid to speak before any prominent worldly leader. Yet that is the type of men that YHVH most commonly calls to do His will. In the Gospel of Mark Yahshua directed the apostles:

Mark 13:10 - But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

We are to have faith that YHVH will perform this task for us and will speak through us. Up until He does that, we would likely be filled with doubts and dread. Revelation 3 talks about two end-time witnesses.

Rev. 11:3 - And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 - These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the Elohim of the earth.

5 - And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

6 - These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

7 - And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 - And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 - And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 - And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 - And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from Elohim entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 - And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

13 - And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the Elohim of heaven.

In the end time, there are going to be two special witnesses called to take on the powers of Rome. They will not be flamboyant, popular religious leaders. They will be like most of us – humble, meek and the most unlikely candidates. Yet YHVH spirit will move them to do a most amazing feat in being seen as the cause for a 3 year, world-wide drought. They will be killed in the end; however, their fear of YHVH will win out over their fear of man and whatever HaSatan’s representatives can do to them in this life. These two will be filled with faith and the righteous spirit of YHVH. They will have emptied their hearts completely of all faithlessness and allowed YHVH’s spirit to have filled them to the brim. They will prophesy against the entire world, and the world will hate then and want to see them dead. When they are killed, the world will rejoice. Their rejoicing; however, will be short lived, and when they see the two being resurrected from the dead and ascending to the heavens, the world will be filled with great fear.

We all like to feel that we are already filled with faith. But this will be the true test – the suffering of death for the word of YHVH. We cannot ignore such a calling. We have something much greater to fear than the world and what it thinks of us. Our fear of YHVH and what He will do to us if we refuse should be foremost on our minds.

When we were first called out of the world by YHVH, we likely had no idea what such a calling could entail. We likely thought that all we were called to do was to obey the law and go to church every Sabbath. Many are taught that their sole duty is to support the ministry. Many do not even like to think that YHVH might call them for some spectacular mission that will most likely end in their mortal deaths. Yes, we are all afraid and have every reason to be. Yet we will be required to overcome our fear of death and do YHVH’s will. Will we be able to do it when the time comes? I certainly hope so.

YHVH Bless
