Patience is a Virtue

Patience is a Virtue

Yes, we have all heard the expression that “patience is a virtue”. Well, that is all well and nice but how can we apply patience in our spiritual lives. We know from John’s prayer in John 17, that we are to become one with Yahuwah as Yahushua and He are one. That means that we are to be striving to take on all the virtue and attributes of the Father, as Yahushua did. Yet, developing Yahuwah’s level of patience is perhaps the most difficult of all.

They say that one day with Yahuwah is like a thousand of our years. That means that the six thousand years that man has existed is like 6 days to Yahuwah. If we had only 6 days to wait for salvation, we could likely do it standing on our heads and we would likely be much more committed if we knew we had only that amount of time to perfect ourselves. Yet, what is another of our sayings – “Yahuwah delays His coming”. Man, by nature, usually waits till the last minute to do almost anything. It is such an attitude that just might leave us on the outside of the Kingdom looking in.

We must be of the attitude that Yahushua may return any day now and we must be ready. We must not fall victim to a ho hum attitude thinking we will know when the end is near and will knuckle down when the time comes. I can guarantee you that Yahuwah does not want such in his Kingdom.

So, let us begin this study and find out exactly what patience means to Yahuwah.

Mt 18:26 - The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.

Mt 18:29 - And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.

We should all be familiar with this story. A king called a man before him who owed the king 10 thousand talents. The king was about to seize all his possessions and throw him in jail. The man begged for mercy (vs. 26) and the King agreed to give him time to come up with the money. However, this evil servant turned around and confronted another man who owed him money. When the man made the same plea for mercy (vs. 29), the evil servant ignored his pleas and threw him in jail. When the king heard of this, he called the evil servant before him, chastised him and turned him over to the tormentor to punish him. Then Yahushua made the following statement.

35 - So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if you from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses.

Sometimes, even with our fellow Believers, we sometimes mess up. That is what we call being human. We all mess up at some time or another and when we do, we must make amends. If we fail to do so, we might be excommunicated from the group. Anyone can mess up, but rather than try to cover up or make excuses, we are far better off spiritually to fess up and own our mistakes. Then and only then are we worthy of forgiveness. And, yes, this takes a great deal of patience. But then we need to look at how patient Yahuwah is with us and be humbled.

Lu 8:15 - But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

I firmly believe that Yahuwah sees virtues in us that we may not recognise at all. I have absolutely no idea why Yahuwah chose a wild donkey like myself. I can only guess it is because of my stubbornness and my passion for digging up the truth. At least that is what I suspect.

So, we start off with an honest and good heart. That is a great starting point. Then we hear the word and “keep it”, meaning that from that point on we do our best to live by His word and through obedience we learn to adopt His nature. With all we have going on in our daily lives, this idea requires much patience. However, as we progress, and continue in the word, we also bear the fruits of the spirit. What are the fruits of the spirit?

Gal. 5: 22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 - Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

There are nine fruits of the spirit. These are all attributes that both the Father and the Son share. If we are to make ourselves over into the image of the Father, we must take on all nine of these attributes and make them part of our character as well. Patience is not listed here but is assumed, nonetheless, bringing the number of attributes to 10. If we are not practicing these attributes, it can be assumed that we are lacking in spiritual growth.

Lu 21:19 - In your patience possess you your souls.

The context of this verse is as follows.

Luke 21:17 - And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.

18 - But there shall not a hair of your head perish.

19 - In your patience possess you your souls.

Yes, it does take a lot of patience to deal with how we are treated by the rest of the world. We certainly are hated by all men. Having patience means that we do not hate them in return but love them as Yahuwah does. Even when Yahushua was suffering His fate, He remained steadfastly in love with His Father’s creation. He displayed great patience in trusting in the Father and awaiting His resurrection.

Rom. 5:3 - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;

The naturally human thing to do when we face tribulation (trials) is to feel abandoned and forsaken by Yahuwah. Is that not what Yahushua felt also in His moment of tribulation, when He cried out from the cross, “Father, Father, why have you forsaken me?” But this verse tells us that the purpose of tribulation is to teach us patience in clinging to the goal of oneness with Yahuwah. We either look to the lesson with eager anticipation of becoming stronger spiritually because of it or we cave into our human spirit and abandon the walk altogether in sullen dejection thinking that Yahuwah has abandoned us. Instead we should be seeking what it is about our spiritual life that we are yet lacking.

Rom. 5: 1 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with Elohim through our Master, Yahushua HaMashiyack:

2 - By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of Elohim.

3 - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;

4 - And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

The coronavirus that now has the world in its grips is a type of tribulation. It is an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate the fruits of the spirit. It is an opportunity to practice patience while we wait out the virus out by self-isolating. This is perhaps the best way to show our love for our fellow man. Those who do not, demonstrate a totally selfish human spirit. It is a situation that forces us to practice patience; and the experience works hope in the glory of Elohim.

Rom. 8:25 - But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Our hope lies in the promises of Yahuwah. And, we know that we will not see the fruition of those promises until Yahushua returns. For this we need a great deal of patience. Many have grown impatient and left off following Yahuwah because they were under the false (man-made) hope that we would see the end of our patience within our own lifetimes. This is likely why the original Believers eventually broke apart and went in separate directions. Where their patience failed, Christianity took a firm hold.

It is not a human quality at all to have faith in something that does not satisfy at least one of our 5 senses, least of all sight. It is like, if you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist. Well we can’t see air, but we know it exists. We do see the evidence of its existence by what it produces – wind, oxygen to breathe etc. We can know that Yahushua exists simply because the universe (which we can see) exists. The physical properties of our universe do not allow for the possibility for the universe to have created itself. Like a wheel on a car, it takes an outside energy source to make it work.

Rom. 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

It is through patience and confidence in the scriptures that we have hope in the promises of Yahuwah. All have died without seeing those promises realized. Those who held on to the hope knew that in their next moment of consciousness, that they would be resurrected into the Kingdom. Most of these did not even have the example of Yahushua before them. How much more should we, who have Yahushua’s example, cherish such hope?

Rom. 15:5 - Now the Elohim of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to HaMashiyack Yahushua.

No man has ever had the patience of Yahushua. He was the beginning of the creation of Elohim. He may have existed for many thousands of our years before anything else was created. The creation was created for and by Him, via the power of the Father. But the real test of His patience lay with mankind. He patiently waited for man to repent and turn back towards Him. When they failed to do so, He was forced to become the sacrifice for sin in our steads. Since then almost two thousand years have passed while Yahushua patiently awaits His coming to glory. Next to the Father, His is the greatest example of patience we can know.

2 Cor. 6:4 - But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of Elohim, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

We have a high calling in becoming ministers of Yahuwah. And, in this calling, we are all ministers of Yahuwah. We patiently serve Yahuwah despite all afflictions, necessities and distresses that this world hurls at us. These things test our commitment to Yahuwah, and we should look forward to the chance to prove ourselves and display our trustworthiness.

2 Cor. 12:12 - Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

One question I continue to ask (since I have not yet found the answer) is where are these signs of an apostle today? Are we not all apostles? The only difference is that the 12 knew Yahushua on a personal level and were all present when Yahushua poured out His spirit upon them. Did the Father not pour out His spirit on us at baptism too? What is the difference. Why are these signs not following our preaching everywhere? So many questions, so few answers. The only thing I can think of is that we are yet spiritually lacking. I firmly believe that we are being called out of the Laodicean age. We are fighting to be on fire for the truth, rather than being handcuffed by a Laodicean attitude. Our biggest obstacle is our own human nature and the world around us. We are to be about overcoming these obstacles and trusting completely in Yahuwah. I mean, these apostles abandoned everything to follow Yahushua and teach the Gospel to the world. They went out with empty purses and just the clothes on their back, fully trusting in Yahuwah to supply all their needs – and He did. Are we lacking such faith? If so, how do we attain it. What is yet holding us back?

Col. 1:10 - That you might walk worthy of Yahuwah unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of Elohim;

11 - Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

12 - Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 - Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 - Who is the image of the invisible Elohim, the firstborn of every creature:

How can we know when we are pleasing to Yahuwah? From the verses we have covered so far, I would have to say, “When the signs of an apostle follow us”. Until we achieve that position, I would say we all have a lot of work to do yet.

And, notice verse 15. There is much argument concerning Yahushua’s role in spiritual matters and of His origin. This one verse answers both questions. Yahushua is the exact image of the Father and was the one who actually did all the creating and was the elohim who appeared before and spoke with our forefathers. He is the firstborn of all creatures; meaning that He existed before all things. Yet, there are some (deceivers) that claim He only existed since His human birth. This is a blatant denial of the glory that belongs to Yahushua alone and is blaspheme against the Most High and a denial of His great and awesome power.

1 Thes 1:3 - Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Master, Yahushua HaMashiyack, in the sight of Elohim and our Father;

Faith, love and patience; these are the signs that we are pleasing to Yahuwah. If we hold strong to these attributes and work diligently at pursuing them until we are in all ways like our Eldest Brother, Yahushua, it is pretty much guaranteed that we are pleasing to Yahuwah.

2 Thes. 1:4 - So that we ourselves glory in you in the assemblies of Elohim for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:

This is Shaul talking to the Thessalonians. He as applauding the faith and patience they exhibited while facing their persecutions and tribulations. I can only image how proud Yahuwah was of them. Wouldn’t it be awesome to hear such words spoken about us? When standing in the judgement, the only words I long to hear are, “Well done Gary.”

1 Tim. 6:1 - Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of Elohim and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

2 - And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

3 - If any man teaches otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Master, Yahuwah HaMashiyack, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

4 - He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 - Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself.

6 - But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 - For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 - And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 - But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 - But you, O man of Elohim, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Every time we deviate from Yahuwah’s word, we blaspheme His Righteous Name. Perhaps if we think of that, we will be more careful to live lives of obedience.

Verses 4 and 5 list the type of fruit of ungodliness.

1 – proud

2 – know nothing

3 – doting about questions and strifes with words

4 – perverse disputings

5 – destitute of the truth

6 – supposing that gain is godliness.

At the end of verse 5 we are told to withdraw ourselves from such an individual. They are a poison to the entire assembly.

I am sure that we have all known some in our assemblies that believe that all their gain came from Yahuwah and that they were specially blessed in accordance to their godliness (for lack of a better word). Not only that, but it seems that some congregations think this also, and we find such surrounded by other members eager to be like him/her. But lets also recognise that some, despite their riches, are yet humble, generous and godly.

The ones that the above verses describe, seem to think they are more valued by Yahuwah than others less fortunate in the assemblies and even think that gives them the right to “cheat” a little on Yahuwah’s word. This is why Yahushua said it is easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle that to make it into the Kingdom. And what did Yahushua say to the rich man who wanted to become a disciple? Sell all that you own, give the money to the poor and (then you will be worthy to) follow me. It is when we have nothing that we tend to grow closer to Elohim.

Shaul warns us to flee from such people and not flock around them like they are something special. We are to follow after Yahuwah righteousness only.

One thing that particularly irks me is seeing those television evangelists before huge crowds in their $4,000 suits, selling literature (books and pamphlets) and passing a collection plate. As far as I am concerned, they are attempting to sell Yahuwah’s word rather than giving it freely as Yahushua did. These are the ones who gained their reward in this life and have nothing waiting for them in the next.

Titus 2:2 - That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

We usually take on the above characteristics as we get older. Younger men are usually wilder and more carefree. I believe this is because, as we get older (and start falling apart) and realize we are a lot closer to the end of our days, we take Yahuwah’s word much more seriously and work all that much harder at pleasing Him. However, may I remind those young bucks that none of us knows what day or hour we are going to pass from this world. It could be an auto accident, sickness or an act of violence that takes our life from us prematurely. We should always be ready for the Kingdom.

Heb 6:12 - That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

In my book, laziness is a curse. Even I am plagued by it some days. We only have our natural lifespans to get this right, folks. Our laziness may cost us dearly in the end. The ones I consider the laziest are those who only crack open a Bible when they attend church services and think that adherence to every word the preacher spouts is what will save them. A true servant of Yahuwah would try and test every word that preachers says. And, that can only be done by performing your own study from Yahuwah’s words and comparing them to the preacher’s. That is how I found fault with my former church and struck out on my own. And, that was the absolute best decision I ever made.

Heb 10:36 - For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of Elohim, you might receive the promise.

Doing the will of Elohim is a full-time job. It takes pretty much a lifetime to get it right. For this, we need much patience. We will not gain the promise by following some man, but by following every word of Elohim.

Heb 12:1 - Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Whether we think someone is witnessing our acts or not, we should know that there are two who witness every, single thing we do at all time. We cannot see them but should behave as if we do at all times. Of course, I am talking about Yahuwah and Yahushua. We must not allow any sin to weigh us down and hinder us along the race route. We are at times going to stumble and fall but do not allow that to weigh so heavily on us that we give up the race. That is simply not an option if we truly desire to see eternal life. It will take a great deal of patience to complete this race.

James 1:3 - Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience.

It takes much patience when we fail at something and need to start all over again. Some do get frustrated and quit – to their eternal demise. Yahuwah hopes but does not expect us to get everything right all the time. He expects us to mess up. However, He also expects us to pick ourselves up and continue the race. If we quit on Yahuwah, he will quit on us. This race is definitely not for the feint of heart.

James 1:4 - But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

The perfect work of patience is absolute faith. Yahushua is our example. He had years alone with the Father before the creation came into being to perfect His faith through patience. His patience made Him spiritually perfect and entire. He had to be so to represent the Father before all of the creation. And, if we expect to represent the Father, we too must strive towards perfection and completeness. If we can achieve this status, we will be spiritually wanting for nothing.

James 5:7 - Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of Yahuwah. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and latter rain.

The Scriptures often use agriculture as example of spiritual perfecting. Any farmer knows what this verse is talking about. So can amateur home gardeners. Patience is involved waiting for seeds to sprout and appear out of the soil. Mush care and patience is needed to nurture their growth with water and fertilizer. Patience is also required in waiting for the produce to appear and waiting for them to ripen. And then, finally, at long last, they are ready for the final harvest. Along with the final harvest comes the separating of the wheat from the chafe. The weeds that have snuck in unaware (spiritually imperfect) are not fit for the harvest.

What do the early and latter rains mean for us spiritually? In Israel, they have two harvests, one in the spring and one in the fall. This first is watered by the early (spring) rains and the second harvest is watered by the latter rains (summer and early fall). Spiritually speaking, there are to be two resurrections. The first will be of the present and former saints. The second will be of those who turn to Yahuwah during the tribulation. It is our goal to come up in the first resurrection.

James 5:10 - Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of Yahuwah, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience

The ancient prophets never saw the promises of Yahuwah in their lifetimes; yet, by faith they knew that they would be raised up in time to see the prophesied, end-time events unfold. In reading the transcripts concerning these prophets, we can readily see how they suffered greatly in their service to Yahuwah. Yet, they patiently endured it all for the promises. They are an example to us today. We are approaching the great tribulation, when many will be tried and tested almost beyond endurance. Like those ancient prophets, we too must always keep the vision of the completed promise before our eyes. It is the only way we will successfully complete the race.

.

James 5:11 - Behold, we count them happy which endure. You have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of Yahuwah; that Yahuwah is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Job may have had a small problem with self-righteousness, but the trials that the Adversary brought against him did not deter him in seeking Yahuwah’s pleasure. In the end, Job succeeded, and the Adversary was forced to retreat in defeat. If we have our spiritual armour firmly in place, we too can gain the victory over the Adversary.

2 Peter 1:6 - And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

At one time, we did not truly know Yahuwah. We had likely not read the Scriptures thoroughly and therefore were not afforded the knowledge found in it. From studying the Scriptures deeply, we gain knowledge. Then we must practice doing what that knowledge tells us we must do to gain eternal life. Learning this does not come overnight and the scriptures do not tell us everything in one place: but here a little, there a little.

Temperance means, “moderation or self-restraint in action, statement, self-control”. Spiritual life requires a great deal of all these things. And, self control requires a great deal of patience. However, the end of our patience is oneness with Yahuwah, which is our prime goal.

Rev. 1:9 - I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Yahushua HaMashiyack, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of Elohim, and for the testimony of Yahushua HaMashiyack.

Yes, if we wish to see the Kingdom, we must have the same patience as Yahushua. Again, such would not be asked of us if it were impossible to achieve. Like a star runner, we envision the finish line at the end of the race. So, we must retain the vision of the Kingdom before us to gain it.

Rev. 2:2 - I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you can not bear them which are evil: and you have tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars:

Yes, Yahuwah indeed sees all things. In particular, he sees our spiritual condition better than we ourselves. And, I am sure that we have known such as described here as liars and false apostles. I will never forget the last minister we had in Peterborough Ontario while in the WCG. When that church came out with the “God Is” booklet, I saw right off the hypocrisy and lies in that book, mainly because I was in the habit of trying and testing everything we were told (especially following the death of HWA). When I confronted the minister about the booklet, his answer was, “I don’t understand it either, but that is what I am paid to teach, and I will teach it”. That was it for me and I informed that lying minister that I was leaving the church. And, of course, this man could not cease from lying and told the congregation that he had disfellowshipped me. And, since that point, Yahuwah has rewarded my works, labour and patience with truth as I know he has done also with all of you.

Rev. 2:3 - And has borne, and has patience, and for my name’s sake has laboured, and has not fainted.

Yahushua has no use for the slothful and faint of heart. Imagine being an employer. You have several workers that serve you diligently and others who do the bare minimum to get by. When the time of tribulation (lack of work) comes, which are you going to keep, and which are you going to cast out? The answer should be obvious. And, the answer should be just as obvious as to where such stand in Yahuwah’s plan.

Rev. 2:19 - I know your works, and charity, and service, and faith, and your patience, and your works; and the last to be more than the first

At tomes we may feel that our works go unnoticed and unappreciated. However, I can assure everyone that the Father and the Son notice everything and we are scoring big points with them. This verse is speaking to the church in Thyatira. Following the above compliments Yahushua adds the following:

Rev. 2:20 - Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you suffered that woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 - And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 - Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The Adversary uses many devices to throw us off course and disqualify us from the Kingdom. WE must be wary at all times. This temptress had most of the congregation deceived into following her. How did she ever get such a foothold in the first place? If the rest of the congregation was searching and proving all things as they should have, this should have never happened. This false prophetess should have been recognized immediately and cast out. Despite her deception, Yahuwah still afforded them time to repent. From the way the Christian faith took off, I presume they did not repent.

Rev. 3:10 - Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This verse is addressed to the Philadelphian Church – the one everyone declares to be a part of. What temptation is being referred to here? The temptation to follow the beast power (Rome) to save one’s physical life rather than follow Yahuwah into trials and tribulation. Unfortunately, when Constantine offered the citizenry a one world religion that was compatible with what he saw as his one world government, many decided to switch rather than fight. It must never be so with us.

Rev. 13:10 - He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Being deceived into following a false religion (which all of the religions of earth are) is equivalent to being in captivity to the god of this age. And, he is a master of such deception. We really need to keep our noses to the grindstone to escape such deception. Let’s face it, a lot of smarter people than us have fallen for the deception. Thankfully we rely on our faith and not our intelligence.

Constantine’s universal religion did not gain converts by free-will conversion, but by force. They put to slaughter many hundreds of True Believers. And some converted out of fear. It is conversion of the heart that Yahuwah recognizes and which we are to pursue. If Yahuwah is for us, who can stand against us. Have faith, brethren. Yahuwah is greater than any other being, including a long dead, 4th century Roman Emperor. This verse might as well be speaking directly to Constantine.

Rev. 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yahushua.

We learn patience by keeping the commandments through faith in Yahushua. In declaring the laws of Yahuwah done away, millions of Christian are also denying any faith in Yahushua. Neither are they about becoming one with the Father and the Son. They are lazy in their “come as you are”, and, “the law is done away” doctrines. Instead of becoming one with Yahuwah, they are becoming one with HaSatan, the god they are worshipping through obedience to him.

Matt. 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 - For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 - Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 - For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I would dearly love to print out these verses and post them on the doors of all the local churches for when their congregations arrive on Sunday morning. Of course, I wouldn’t expect it to do much good, but it may certainly give them something to think about.

Conclusion

Impatience is a typically human quality. Patience is the center piece of the spiritual realm. Yahuwah has patiently awaited the completion of His plan for almost 6,000 human years. The prophets of old are still patiently awaiting their reward. Noah patiently waited for the rains to come. Moses waited 80 some years to see the fulfilment of Yahuwah’s plan for him. Abraham waited over 100 years. Yahushua yet awaits the fulfillment of His Kingdom. We are patiently waiting for the fulfillment of His Kingdom also. Like the prophets of old, we know that many of us will not see the fulfillment of Yahuwah’s plan in our lifetimes either; but, we have faith that we will arise to glory (from the death) and dwell with Yahuwah for the rest of eternity.

It is my firm belief that our foremost future job will be to bring life to all the other planets. At that time we will know exactly what the patience of Yahuwah is like. We will have to patiently deal with our creation just as Yahuwah has with His. Will our creations deal with us as we have with His? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, we need to explore and incorporate the patience of Yahuwah in our own spiritual lives. Our toughest customers will likely be members of our own families; so that is the best place to start.

Yahuwah bless and may everyone have a wonderful and meaningful feast despite the current health crisis.
