Wednesday, September 4, 2013: Rainy Afternoon/Club LOL

Post date: Sep 5, 2013 1:52:38 AM

It wasn't just raining when I opened up my 3DS this afternoon - it was a crazy storm, with lightning and pouring rain everywhere! Anyways, Pete sent me a letter from Nintendo, talking about the new Nintendo Zone item... I need to look in how to do that...

I also got a new shirt from the HHA from having 10,000-15,000 points for my house. Here's what it looks like:

At the startup screen, Isabelle let me know that the live venue was open. FINALLY! On my sort of long walk around to Main Street, I chatted with some of my villagers. I did go out of my way to see Rasher, who moved in because of a camping trip he had. He was in my City Folk town at one point, so I wanted to see him back.

Hugh was fantasizing about food, as always.

Also, Cesar wants to leave. I don't mind him, but I didn't really care either way, so I was fine with him going.

I finally made my way up to Main Street. Shrunk wanted me to bring him food so he could give a performance, so I made a mental note and continued on my errands. At Timmy and Tommy's store, I saw Bam. I also got a fortune for triple red shells.

Then, at the Able Sisters, I saw Eloise! Well, I guess shopping in the rain can be kind of cozy...

Um... no.

After that, I headed back to town, plucked up a cherry from the ground, and brought it back to Shrunk. He taught me the sneezing emotion, and gave me a joke book to store it in. Now you can get as many emotions as you want; you aren't limited to four. So I'll have to keep coming back!

He also referenced his previous job at a theater. This game has all kinds of references to the past games of the series! I like that.

Here is what the triple red shells look like. I'll eventually put them in a room once I expand.

At 8:30pm I turned on the game again and headed to Club LOL. It was really cool! I danced with Winnie, and listened to K.K. do his NES medley of sorts.

He played through a lot of pieces I'd come to love from previous Animal Crossing games, like Agent K.K. (Wild World), K.K. Country (GameCube), and one from City Folk I can't remember the name of, maybe Stale Cupcakes? He also played a few new ones that I'd never heard before, so either they are new to New Leaf or I just haven't heard them from past games.

At one point he played my town tune I'd written yesterday. It's Link on the screen! :)

I stayed for a good fifteen minutes, then shut off and called it a day. That place will be fun with multiplayer! It's also just fun listening to all the tunes, even though none of it is really orchestral, the type of music I prefer. Oh, well. See you next time!
