Saturday, April 4, 2020: Project K - Complete!

Cookie gave me a cassette player to put around the island for K.K. Slider. She's very excited for his concert!

I had ordered a park clock and phone box yesterday, and found some spots around town to put them. We may move them in the future, but this works for now. In particular, I love the look of the phone box, and thought the museum would be a good place to put it by - it's in the "town" part of the island and close to all the shops and things. We'll have to figure out where we can put more businesses that may show up in the future.

I went and met Avery, our newest neighbor. (I also realized I miscounted yesterday - we will have 10 NPCs in the town after all, so it all works out.) I also realize I never showed off Kyle's incredible house band in this blog, which I first discovered in Thursday night's stream (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK3ngZocuww).

Also - we have a second ramp in the island! This will make it pretty easy to go from the second neighborhood to the top cliffs. Perhaps we can make more inclines going down the other side, and a bridge on the eastern river, to connect the whole island together - not sure what the limit is! I also wanted to share with my family we moved an outdoor bath to a spot in our flower garden on the first cliff last night, so it goes with the nature theme we're doing on this part of the island. It's starting to remind me of Versailles or other French gardens, thinking of my Ravel and Paris obsessions in 2015... :)

Aside from collecting more Bunny Day eggs as I have been since the 1st, and hitting all the rocks, etc., I also thought I'd go grab our tenth villager from an island trip. Before I did, I stopped at Resident Services/Town Hall, and Isabelle had received a curiously-signed feedback message. Could it be...? K.K. Slider???

Oops... Wrong Switch game...

Tom Nook called the groovy dog up - he can come perform as early as tomorrow! Hooray! He mentioned getting to know some of K.K.'s records - I'm familiar with most of them from the past 19 years of Animal Crossing games!

I still went over to the other island anyway and met Diva! She's one of Stampy's starter villagers I saw when he live-streamed the game (even though I was watching it a week later)!

One thing I love about these islands is how much fauna there is in the water - plenty of fish... or, erm... (stupid Easter event.)

Back at Iyerland, I was about to wrap up my day when Patty informed me Sherb might be sick! Oh no! I quickly bought him some medicine (decided to buy in bulk) and gave it to him. He gave me a wheelchair in return... Thanks dude... :) Feel better Sherb!

(I'm doing my best, Sherb - staying in my house practicing piano and violin, composing, and playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons with my family. :P)

I played off and on later today. Boris has quite the house going - it's an Egyptian pyramid theme! Reminding me of when I was younger playing Super Mario 64 DS and Animal Crossing: Wild World - I loved Shifting Sand Land and tried to create a pyramid in Wild World!

I put a crest on my door as well, which is pretty neat for now. I also like seeing the sun set - it looks just as gorgeous as it does in Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!

In the evening, I also met Celeste! She gave me a recipe for a star rod and told me about shooting stars! I haven't seen one yet, but I'll keep checking on clear nights.
