Friday, October 11, 2013: Secret Beach Mini-Game

Post date: Oct 12, 2013 2:37:21 AM

Tonight I headed off to Main Street. The shop was closed, but at the Able Sisters I got the new Halloween item - a bug mask.

I headed to the Dream Suite to update my town. Six people have visited! Thanks if it's been you! :)

After that, I decided to start a project based on something I would do in City Folk. First, let me explain about my secret beach - I discovered it when I got my wet suit. It's a secret area you can only access by swimming there!

After cleaning up the area a little bit, I created a little mini-game for two people. One person is Link, the other is this smily-face pattern I made for one of August's fireworks shows. Basically, there are two paths: green and blue, and each player can only follow their color. Red means anyone can go on it, and gray means you lose, because it's like a pit. So basically, the object of the game is to reach the other player's character. It's pretty simple, but I'll have to try it out with Jarod some time and see how it works. :)

But yeah, what I mean by it being like in City Folk is because I would use patterns like this to make obstacle courses and things in that game, too. Read my City Folk blog underneath this New Leaf blog for all those details.

When I swam back to the mainland, I was only on shore for a few seconds when I saw Saharah! At first I declined, but then I remembered I had my upstairs room to mess with. So I decided to give it a go.

It's not bad! I'll probably end up changing it over time, but for now, it works!

Also, here's just a random pic I snapped on the way to my house. I swear, these animals have in it something for that bridge. Every time I play New Leaf nowadays, they're always right there! Maybe they're stalking me...
