Thursday, June 25, 2020: It's All Happening!

One of the fish I caught this evening was a massive whale shark! You can also see Wisp was there to witness. I love how the characters hold the bigger fish in both hands in this game.

I also checked on some of my villagers. Kyle was making an ironwood dresser, a key item for several kitchen recipes my mom was after ever since the start of the game!! I really like Sylvana's house, and hw it really brings a Japanese cherry blossom vibe, with the K.K. Slider remix of the N64 game's Cherry Blossom Festival music. And Sherb... well he slept. And talked about his finger painting. If you saw my recent Click Race video, you may know both characters are in that game's opening movie. This is why - they are the two cutest in our town!

I had a chaotic balloon present, shooting it down just before it flew over the ocean! Saharah was also there selling her rugs. I suppose it's been quite stormy and rainy in town this past week, so everyone's taking advantage of nicer weather.

And guess the other nighttime visitor was out and about? Celeste! She was giving us recipes for a Cancer table (for the astrological sign, of course). I actually have my Switch next to me with the volume up, listening for shooting stars (I've gotten 5 of them!), as I write this blog entry... It's cool to really be able to hear some of the live instruments in the 10pm and 11pm hourly music.

Finally, I did see Nintendo's announcement video on the fact they are adding diving and swimming back into the game! It looks gorgeous, and will hopefully play better on the Switch. Mainly the fact I can use my controller and watch on the TV, even if the action and gameplay is exactly the same as the 3DS, just makes it more appealing and comfortable. I played New Leaf on a 2011 3DS, and it was not always the most comfortable to control the swimming in...

Also, before you go, check out my brand-new YouTube series on Super Mario Flash Hard (links to another Google Site I have for this game in the description). I will continue to do livestreams of this game of course (I've got a big house decorating stream planned for sometime next week), but I am enjoying a nice variety of things at the moment, gaming and music. Thanks for reading! Never stop Crossing!
