Monday, May 18, 2020: Museum Day

I've been playing the game quite a lot with my family (I even streamed it the other day), but it's been hard to keep up on the blog. However, this has always been for fun, so I hope it's okay!

Anyways, today was Museum Day! I watched Stampy complete it first, and then I went around to gather some stamps (no, not Stamps (Stampy's nickname)... :P). The camera did a dramatic shot of the dinosaur section of the museum, which was great! (Thinking of Yoshi as a dinosaur... And Super Mario World - all my SNES and N64 Mario game history videos I've been watching lately of the '90s!) I realize this has nothing to do with Animal Crossing, but... Mario's Nintendo's mascot! I wonder if I can get a Mario custom design, since I have Link's tunic as one...

Here are a couple pictures from the other day: I attended a ceremony for a bridge, and, since I've completed the Mario Maker game, I've slowly started redecorating my house. So far, I have my music room (which I'm ultimately planning on moving upstairs) and a fancy bathroom.

So yeah! Sorry I haven't been updating this blog very much lately, and I'll be honest, I'm not sure when the next update will be. I've been getting more excited about streaming a wider variety of games and my music/violin projects right now. However, the game is still definitely a part of my life every day, even if I'm not blogging about it. Maybe when our island is finished in terms of the major landscaping projects we're currently doing, I'll get back to the day-to-day life. There's plenty to discuss about my villagers and things too!

And as Stampy was discussing in today's stream, here's a fun video on the evolution of Animal Crossing by The Silent Gaming Fish - it's always fun to look back at where the series has gone. Especially since we're all so used to the new game's graphics now, it's fun to look back at how bad they used to look! Not that it bothers me - I watch and play Mario 64 hacks all the time! - Click here.

Oh yeah - my shirt in most of the pictures above reads "konnichiwa!" in Japanese. In the GameCube game, one of the dialogue for the villagers was about how they were learning Japanese, and said that to me a lot. :)
