Friday, April 3, 2020: Landscaping and Front Yard

In the morning, I saw Boris (not sure if I mentioned him on this blog, since I live-streamed last night in place of a post), and met my new neighbor Cookie. I bought out my last plot of land later on today, so that's 9 residents in total for now. (I'm assuming we can have at least 10 like the past few games...)

Boris and Lyman wanted to have some contest to see who was better. Of course, as a musician, I wanted to see them sing it out! Lyman yelled at the top of his lungs, and Boris made a good point about singing good. I'm sure TwoSet Violin would approve of his advice! :)

I made a fountain to put into the island, and made two drinking fountains (one for the fountain, one to put by the plaza). The fountain went in front of the museum; later on, perhaps we can put some pavement around the museum to make it stand out.

Later on in late afternoon, I talked with Nook since I bought out the last bit of land, and he said we're ready to move on in Project K. (He also told me about amiibo - I have Rover and Isabelle figures (still in their packaging from the Wii U and 3DS days in 2015), so I'll have to check them out on my Switch sometime.) Isabelle told me we are at a 2-star rating - yay, we went up a star! Isabelle suggested adding fencing around the town, which gave me the idea to extend my fenced-in area to all around my house. I spent some time trying to make it somewhat symmetrical while still keeping things looking a bit rugged and natural.

The next tip from Isabelle was planting more flowers around, so I continued a garden area we are starting on the clifftops.

Tom Nook also told me to build more infrastructure, so I started another ramp to the highest cliff in town right where the second neighborhood is being built. I thought this was a fun picture with the balloon present covering my character. :)

I went over to Patty's house later on, and Kyle was visiting! He was trying to stir up some drama in her house. :)

Patty ended up giving me my first villager delivery in New Horizons! I suppose she is pretty busy hosting Kyle... I just had to go next door to do the delivery, so it wasn't too bad.
