Wednesday, June 9, 2021: A Campground Firefly

I'm actually planning on taking a bit of a break from the game, at least until after Nintendo's E3 event; but decided to boot it up briefly tonight. My inventory was a mess and it was too late to get good deals selling everything, but I got to see this unique dialog box when trying to collect money from my money trees.

I received Nook Miles for playing for 300 days, and also saw an owl on the bulletin board - I forgot about Marissa's message she left when we played together on Sunday. We recorded my One-Word Story game that I just uploaded today; I've been uploading a lot of New Horizons videos, including one playing K.K. Slider summertime tunes with my violin in my new campsite; so please check them all out in the New Horizons playlist on my YouTube channel!

Anyways, shameless plug aside... :P I saw Bam out and about, still at it. Avery was out too, but everyone else seemed to be in their homes or sleeping.

I got this stache & glasses from a balloon present. I remember this item from previous games!

And finally, I just thought it was a pretty summery sight, seeing this firefly (let's call her Luna - first thing that popped in my head!) in my new campground area. It's great the two main videos of the mini-series have been uploaded, so I can show it off here on the blog! I loved using the Animal Crossing GameCube dirt texture. It'll always be a nostalgia trip whenever I see it!

Have a great rest of your week everyone! Remember, E3 is next week! Let's hope for some big New Horizons updates - and yes, I definitely am hyped for news on the sequel to Breath of the Wild, and maybe a Mario Kart 9 reveal...? We'll have to wait and see! I've recently been enjoying reading articles on E3 2001, including Sakurai on Smash Bros. Melee's showing - before playing Animal Crossing tonight I was watching Elevated: The Development Story of Super Smash Bros. Melee - highly worth a watch as a Nintendo fan, with a big section on the orchestral music and recording of that!

Anyways - I might do some sort of E3 post, depending on what we get on New Horizons (if anything)! Probably would have done so leading up to the game's initial release, like E3 2019, if I had remembered this blog then! Oh well. I still have this excitement video from before the game launched! Whew - looking forward to this year's event, and looking back with my history with this game thus far! Been a special ride - I knew it would mean a lot to me!
