Sunday, April 5, 2020: Terraforming

When I logged in, Isabelle informed me K.K. Slider would be giving a performance! He played "Welcome Horizons" (the game's main theme) for us, which Tom Nook gave me a record of after. I didn't get a screenshot but the game faded to black, showing the credits, during the performance, just like in the GameCube game!

Tom Nook also had another surprise for me - a new app for my phone! I can finally terraform the island!

I got an S Rank from the Happy Home Academy, which gave me a bronze pendant for my house; and there's finally a new message on the bulletin board the game added for next Saturday's Fishing Tourney!

The exciting business of the day was reshaping the island, which I did with the help of my family watching. Here is a pavement we added around the museum.

And around our garden, we added a wooden walkway around it.

Right outside my house, I added a pathway out of my house. I'll add walkways around to all the shops and buildings tomorrow probably.

We added our own makeshift bridges with the land. The river still seems to flow okay somehow!

Check out my T-shirt with the Japanese symbol "hi" on it! :)

Later in the afternoon we extended the river on the clifftop. We also extended the upper level across, and I put pine trees to create a nice backdrop.

So yeah! This is the introduction of terraforming, a feature I was excited for since they showed it off in the February Direct. The cliff landscaping very much reminds me of Minecraft!
