Thursday, December 10, 2020: The Big Snowstorm

I was eager to log into the game the moment I woke up, and sure enough, it was snowing! My first snow of New Horizons, and it happens to be the big snowstorm (at least, I assume!)! Not sure how much these pictures will capture it, but it was really awesome to hear sleigh bells and glockenspiel added to the background music!

I got the Statue of Liberty from Gulliver, and decided to put it in the place of the warrior statue next to the museum.

It took a few dialogues but a couple villagers started speaking about the snowfall.

Sydney and Merengue were having a discussion about the best places to curl up and read a book. It reminded me of an Animal Crossing Community thread I enjoyed reading probably a decade ago about the best places to take your DS to play Wild World - I suppose the same could be said of the Switch game too! And, of course, favorite books!

Clay was telling me about Flick being on the island - I did sell him a few of my bugs, even if Clay had his bug friends he refused to sell.

Clay also asked me to catch him a sea butterfly, which I was able to do. He gave me a trench coat as thanks.

Earlier, I also put my puppy plushie I bought yesterday in my house, and bought this space heater from the Nookling's. I'm not totally sure how that's a toy, but I guess it allows for warm and cozy indoor spaces.

When I played later in the early evening, Diana was complimenting the placement of the fountain, which allowed for plenty of space to walk. It's been there for months now! I suppose she's newer to the island, so...

I'm watching the Game Awards 2020 live as I type this (it's about 6pm), and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, won Best Family Game! It's definitely been the perfect game for this year, and one I will fondly remember! It's not perfect, but it's still the best in the series, and we still have more updates on the way!
