Saturday, December 5, 2020: Assembling the Toy Factory

Last night, I put on this strange ninja/Halloween costume - I dunno why, but it's a look! And when I left my house in the morning, three fossils and my gold spot all spawned right in my yard!

I was working towards a few Nook Miles goals for something to do, and managed to snag a scallop to give to Pascal. He had quite the mind-blowing thing to say.

Later on, I bought a billiard table and a dinosaur toy at Nook's. I took these things to add to my festive room, which I realize now turned more into a toy factory at the North Pole than a cozy Christmas room. It'll probably be a little bit until I get some of the proper Christmas stuff, so for now a toy factor seems like a good vibe. You can see how it's been coming along since last night.

I also heard K.K. Slider sing Café K.K. for us in the plaza. I noticed it's early in the 6pm hour, and yet it's quite dark. I wonder if there is a little bit of shorter/longer days where the sun sets earlier and later in this game, which I don't think was the case in the past. I only noticed this through going back through this blog and looking at pictures in April and over the summer, which is a really neat detail! I think JVGS Jeff was mentioning something along these lines as being a cool feature in Animal Crossing: Switch.

Also, I put K.K. Swing into my hi-fi stereo. Hearing it through my headphones plugged into the Switch, it really brings back nostalgia to my City Folk days when I was starting to use that tune as a proper Christmasey tune! At least for me personally - I'll keep my 2011 nostalgic days here!
