Saturday, April 10, 2021: Sprites for the Theme Park

Sydney sent me a mug to help me create a café in my home. Actually, not a bad idea - I could try recreating The Roost! Although I'm sure that's already been done...

Today was the Fishing Tourney, although I played too early to take part. Bam had quite the "special move" prepared... Good luck with that!

Instead, I spent a little time working on my theme park - progress has been very slow as I haven't really felt like playing the game much, but I did work to extend the path a little. Still trying to decide what mini-games I want to include - probably mainly a lot of Animal Crossing classics, like the sumo game. It was fun to put down my panda bear face-cut-out standee and see Merengue reacting to it. I wonder if villagers can use these...

I also downloaded a few Mario and Link sprites from the Internet (via my NookPhone) and more standees for Mario and Link to be a part of the park. Maybe Nintendo will announce their Legend of Zelda 35th Anniversary plans at E3 this year, since I recently found out they'll be part of it. Hope part of that will be Zelda items in this game I can include in my theme park!

(If you're curious, from top to bottom: Black Mage from Final Fantasy (GBA?), Link from The Minish Cap, Link from A Link to the Past; then Raccoon Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario from Super Mario World, and Mario from Super Mario RPG. The 8-bit/16-bit/32-bit the Game Boy Advance apparently is all makes it easier I think for making patterns in Animal Crossing.)

Finally, from how the camera was angled, it looked like Cookie walking down below at the plaza was in the Link standee.
