Monday, November 16, 2020: Maple Leaf Rag

On Twitter, Isabelle mentioned leaves falling around the island; so I decided I'd take a break today and check them out.

I sat next to Cookie next to the bench by the town hall for a bit as well. I was trying to catch these smaller leaves and it wasn't working.

It turned out there were larger leaves that you are able to nab, similarly to the snowflakes from New Leaf (and will be exciting to see in a month or so in this game!) and the cherry blossom pedals from back in April. It's been a while since then!

Avery had a cold, so I went to the store the old-fashioned way to buy him some medicine. I had to sell some fossils there anyway. Sherb was talking about how big the store was... it's not that big, buddy!

Anyways, I returned with medicine for Avery, who seemed to appreciate it. Get well soon!

I caught 10 maple leaves floating around, so before I exited my game for the night (and probably the week, I have a lot of work and composing to do!), I crafted some leaf piles to plop down around my yard (I got the recipe for regular ones yesterday, that are made with pinecones). I'll definitely play next week, when I bring the Switch home so my family can play, too - Nintendo should be announcing an update with the Harvest Festival soon!

Speaking of updates, I recently learned they're planning on continuing to support the game in 2021, which is exciting! By the time the game is considered finished, it will be exciting to see all the things they added since launch. It's also been selling Switches (I got mine for Animal Crossing!), and is the best-selling Animal Crossing game by far - perhaps it will beat Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and become the best Switch game...?
