Wednesday, December 9, 2020: Japanese Masks

It was fun to find a fossil and the golden spot right outside my yard again. I probably will stop mentioning this every time it happens - I just find it funny when things spawn in my yard, which of course the game doesn't know is the case! Also, Sherb was upset about his tummy hurting last night - he really is the baby of villagers!

When I headed to the shop, I had to buy this kid's tent, and later placed it down in a blank space by the museum. Maybe I'll move it closer to the campsite later, but for now I thought this worked!

I also bought this orange wallpaper, which reminded me of the orange colors of the mod wallpaper from the old games (I think that's what it was called?). Not sure if I'll use it anywhere since it seems like a solid color, but it did remind me of using orange in my house as a kid playing City Folk or the GameCube game. I also noticed the leaves on the trees are turning brown, and just thought we might get a huge snowstorm tomorrow if New Horizons' weather follows the previous games...! We'll see what happens!

Finally, at Able's, I enjoyed this orange (or more like red, but close enough) knit cap for the winter, as well as these two fox masks. For some reason they seemed Japanese to me, like the Keaton mask in Zelda: Majora's Mask. (That's a lot of masks.) So I bought both colors to put in my Japanese bedroom by my Noh mask and album cover on my far wall. I brought everything down a half-tile lower so you can see them when you pan the camera.
